[S:AaB League; Bulletin 12] Update: 8 July 1997
***
Good evening. I'm James Edgell. This is ISN at SIX.
"Recently one of our correspondant's interviewed Colonel Chang of the
Chig Collective. We have The Colonel on laser link between his location,
which is concealed for security reasons, and ISN headquarters. Colonel,
can
you hear me?
CC:"Yes I can hear you. I have to mention that we are in transit so
our
communications link may be disrupted. Interplanetary dust you know...
"I understand. Colonel, to what do you attribute the overwhelming
support
from conquered worlds?
CC:"We are welcomed at colonies because we are powerful and winning
the war against the Red Stinks. People understand our power and want to
be
protected.
"So, your main war objective is to eliminate Earthling forces?
CC:"Not necessarily, this is an open war. We certainly have some
animousity towards Earthling forces but we are not limited to them as
targets. Our commanders have orders to attack any and all targets they
encounter. There is of course the fact that we were at war with Earth
before
the other groups entered the conflict.
"Do you fear that other forces may be massing against you?
CC:"No. Absolutely not.
"Have you encountered pirates? Entered negotiations even?
CC:"We have not encountered any pirate forces.
"Is there any group that concerns you?
CC:"This is a war, and there are sides. Any race with any number of
ships,
no matter from 1 to 100, are of concern to us and we will deal with
them
accordingly. Those who do not stand with us, stand against us.
"I'm being told that we have lost our laser connection. The connection
was
lost far down the connection. We will try to get back that connection
during
the boradcast if possible.
"Today ISN news has received an anonymous tip that the Nirixir
Hierarchy
has created a new technology. This technology is rumoured to be a cloak.
This gives cloaked Nirixir ships to hide from enemy sensors. There is
also a
rumoured weakness that at close range the cloaking device is useless
since
magnetic displacement is readable on sensors.
"The Chig Militia has two new officers: Commodore Mike "Sage" Chang,
13091105-03080114 and Commodore Andrew "Phantom" Wu, 01140418-
23210000.
"We have with us a late breaking story; this news came in ten minutes
ago
and this is the first time it has been mentioned. We go live to Anvil
with our
Chig correspondant Kim Kaiser. Can you hear me Kim?
KK:"I can hear your Frank
"How do things look there?
KK:"Not good Frank. It seems that a number of the Chig commanders have
broken off into a splinter faction. They call themselves the New
Imperial
Chig Militia or The Dominion. It is being claimed that they have left
the
Chig system to build a fortress in an undisclosed location. I won't
know
more until some of the confusion has died down.
"Has the splinter faction explained why they have left the Central
Chig
Command?
"KK:"No Frank, they have not. I am right now trying to get an
interview
with the General of the Dominion, but as of yet I have not heard back
from
them. The Chig government refuses to speak at all to me about the
recent
events. There is little information to be had on either side. Back to
you
James.
"Thank you Kim. We will keep everyone updated as this story
progresses.
"There have been no armed conflicts.
"Tomorrow on ISN at SIX we have an interview with Major Cavaleiro of
the Earthling Military.

In league news. I would like to say that I want people to keep mails
for
movements one day ata time. There have been numerous times where
people have recalled mails they sent. And to keep track of this day by
day. I
have some movements up until July 19. Tomorrow I may not send out a
bulletin so that I can spend that time mailing everyone where they are
and
then deleting my info. That way everyone knows where they are and where
they are going. So that I can now get mails by the day. This would make
everything less confusing. I want everyone to bear with me on this one.
It's
not only to make my job easier but also so everyone can keep track of
where
they are. Another problem is people thinking they are somewhere they are
not. Hopefully this will allow everyone to keep track of themselves. I
suggest
keeping a spreadsheet or word processor file marking everywhere you are
going by ship so you can keep track.
---
"That's all for today's news. Good night from all of us at ISN.
***
P.P.S.: Sorry, forgot to mention this, once you get the movement info
from me mail them back as soon as possible. If I get enough back in time
I may be able to put them into the computer for the next day to be on
time.
