Genevec Cybernetics
Genevec Enterprises is a subsidiary company of Archangel Heavy Industries.
One of the newest areas into which Genevec has entered is that of personal cybernetics. The researchers were interested in being able to create soldiers that could better "compete" with such enhanced beings as Juicers or Crazies. To this end, they focused on enhancing the basic human body. However, the researchers didn't want to have to replace whole parts of the body with bionics, so they decided to use cybernetic systems instead. With the release of the first three cybernetic systems, Genevec is much closer to the goal of a more human super-soldier.
1. Muscle Augmentation:
The basic musculature of the body is enhanced
by the addition of super-strong organic polymer muscle fibers. These fibers
are laid down by nano-tech robots which are introduced to the body at
the cyber-clinic. Once the new enhanced muscles are in place, there is
a recovery period of ( new PS / 5 ) days. This recovery must take place
at the clinic, and the patient cannot move at all for the first half of
the recovery period.
Bonuses:
+2 PS / Level
+2 Spd / Level
+1 PE / Level
Note: Maximum is Level 4
Cost: 10,000*Level credits
2. Cybernetically Enhanced Reflexes:
Enhanced reflex response is achieved by using nano-tech robots to drastically shorten the neural/nerve response time needed to carry out actions.Bonuses:
Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 +2 Initiative +1 Initiative
+1 Attack+2 Initiative
+1 AttackNote: Maximum is Level 3 and all effects are cummulative
Cost: 40,000 credits per Level
3. Cybernetic Gun-Link:
This cyber-system provides a link between the gun and the user's vision. Specially modified weapons are needed to make use of this system. Sensors in the weapon determine exactly where it is pointed. This information is transmitted through a hookup in the palm of the user's hand and is displayed in the user's field of vision as a dot or small crosshair. The system also allows the user to know exactly how many rounds are left in the weapon's clip or magazine, as well as being able to mentally issue commands to eject the clip from the weapon.Bonuses:
+3 to strike on aimed shots
+2 to strike on bursts
Cost: 45,000 credits
Note: For a gun-link compatable gun, multiply the base gun cost times 1.5
