Experience Gain Information
Experience, along with Skill, are the 2 factors that determine how strong or weak your character is. The higher amounts of experience give higher levels, along with more hit points and better adds to primary skills (Str and Dex). Experience can be gained in many ways, although some can be much quicker than others. See the "Best" and "Worst" sections below for more detail on different areas to gain experience, and see the "Fast" section for more detail on quick ways to gain experience.
Each land has some great areas to gain experience, although some lands have areas with huge amounts of experience while others have areas with very little. Here are the best areas to gain experience in each land:
Kesmai - Kesmai -3 or -4, depending on skill
Oakvael - Troll Temple for mid-level, Undead for high level
Axe-Glacier - anywhere above the surface for mid-level, above 180' for high level
Leng - Mausoleum for low level, Griffing level for mid-level, and Leng Undead for high level
While Some areas are great areas for high exp gain, stay away from these areas unless you are at an extremely low level (3-6) because above that these areas will net you very little gain. Here they are:
Kesmai - Kesmai -1
Oakvael - Oakvael Surface
Axe-Glacier - Axe-Glacier Surface and Surface Dungeon
Leng - Near Leng Town and below the Troll Bridge
Although fighting monsters is always a steady way to gain experience, there are some quick ways to gain experience, although they will cost you. First, there is training: something you would do anyway but can also net you experience. For every gold you spend on training that the trainers take, you gain 1 experience. For example, if a trainer took 5000 gold, you would gain 5000 experience. The other way to gain experience is through the Sage. There is a Sage located in every area, and he will take as much money as you want to give him. For every gold you give him, you will get 2.5 experience. So, if you gave him 10000 coins, you would gain 25000 experience points. Many higher level players do this to augment their experience gaining, because otherwise level-gaining can move at a glacial pace.
