 DOS Money Cheat: (Gives you millions without having to edit files!)

 Right after you start a new city type FUND to issue a bond. Click yes at the dialog box and then type FUND again and issue  another bond. After you have issued the two bonds, go to the Budget Window. When there click on the book icon next to the  bond official. Then click on issue bond, it should say something like Issue bond at .%? Click yes. Now click on repay bond and  say yes. Click on repay bond again to finish repaying the old bonds, and now every year at tax time you will get an extra  $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 in revenues!

 Tricks and Tips (ALL Platforms):

 The Magic Eraser:

 It's possible to overlap some kinds of buildings and erase corners! To do it: 1.  Select the Landscape Tree tool. 2. Click the tool  on the map and hold down the left mouse button. You'll see a tree or two plop down. 3. While holding down the shift key and  the mouse button, move the cursor over any zone, building, or object, and  it will disappear.

 This is a truly wonderful tool, especially for those DOS owners out there, because when you erase arcos, the entire building  may be gone, but the population remains! After it's gone just zone and build over it.

Phantom Water Pump:

This trick allows you to water a whole city with just one water pump! Yes, it's true. This egg isn't in as widespread use as the other ones, but it's one of the most useful of all. It's prime advantage is that is saves space and worries about your water system. Here's how to do it:

1.De-zone a 3x3 square of land.
2.Place a water pump on the middle square.
3.Connect power to the pump.
4.DO NOT CONNECT PIPES TO THE PUMP!!!

Now check in your graph window. Your water % should be at 100.
Frequently the message "Water Shortage Reported" may come up. Just ignore it, everything is fine.

 Crashing Copters!:

 A really fun thing to do if you were a SimCity Classic player is to destroy the helicopters! In the original SimCity the  helicopters were always saying annoying things to you. Now it's pay back time. Just click the centering tool on the center of a  helicopter and it will crash and burn into the ground. (Just make sure that you have disasters disabled or it will start a fire)

 Bull Moose Roar:

 If you bulldoze enough trees you will get a jeer from your citizens and then after a while be asked if you would like to hear the endangered Bull Moose Roar.

 Growing Trees:

 Just like real trees, trees in SimCity 2000 will grow, mature and reproduce by themselves. However, you probably will not  notice it unless you stare at one piece of land for a very long time.

 Loch Ness Monster:

 Every now and then you may see a mysterious head appear in one of your lakes. If you guessed that it is the famed Loch  Ness Monster then you are correct. Don't worry though, in this game she is strictly plant eating, except for one exception. If you own a marina, sometimes she will munch on your boats!

 Free Advertising:

 If you watch the movie at the drive-in carefully, you will realize that the star of the movie is one of the stars of another Maxis  product.

 Ruminations:

 If you have version 1.1 or later, then you have an extra feature. Click the query tool on a Library and note the special ruminate  button. Clicking on this will cause quotes from the graphic novel author Neil Gaiman to appear.

 Super Sim!:

 Faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than an ox, yes, its SuperSim! If you do not have a military base and a disaster hits  your city, every now and then a little guy known as SuperSim will come and save you. Don't count on him though because he  seldom appears.
