---Other Things You Need to Know:
Below the life bars at the top of the screen there is a meter that increases when you perform any attack or are hit with any attack. This is the Beast Meter. It starts out blue and fills up until it turns orange and shows a "B" when half way full indicating that you have enough Beast power to activate you Beast mode. The meter will continue to increase as long as you don't transform. While in Beast mode the meter decreases when you are hit or when you activate "Rave." When it empties you will transform back into human form.
"Rave" mode can be activated when you are in Beast form and have some energy left in your Beast Meter. The Beast Meter will slowly drain while in Rave and Rave mode will end when the meter is empty. Rave makes attacks do more damage and block damage, makes all attack incredibly fast allowing you to perform multiple combos and special moves with interruption, and makes your character much faster. When in Rave you may cancel it and save the rest of your Beast Meter by pressing the "cancel" button (R1 by default).
When in Beast form you will regenerate your life bar rather quickly when not being attacked. You will regenerate life up to the lighter part of your life meter. Some attacks cause permanent and temporary damage, the temporary damage is indicated by the lighter shading and that is the only damage that can be healed. Temporary damage taken while in human form can be healed once transforming into Beast form.
When transforming into Beast mode, your character will be surrounded by a quick burst of energy that will hit your opponent and send them flying across the arena. You may activate Beast mode while standing, in the air, as part of a combo, or while running. If you activate Beast mode while running then your character will transform while performing their running (B) attack.
Your opponent can be hit by your character when you activate Rave very close to them. It doesn't cause much damage but it sets up for Rave combos.
Beast mode allows your character to jump higher, do more damage, push opponents farther, perform new attacks, and changes some of your characters throws. Most characters become slightly slower in Beast form while others gain incredible speed.
Throws are UNBLOCKABLE. They can still be canceled so that you take no damage and avoid the throw completely.
If you try a throw while close to your opponent while their back is facing you then you will perform a different throw from what you would normally do face-to-face with the opponent. Throws performed while behind your opponent cause more damage and cannot be canceled.
Note: throws that are character specific special moves are blockable unless otherwise labeled, but no special move throw can be escaped.
You cannot block any attacks while facing away from your opponent.
While facing away from your opponent, press any attack button to turn around and hit them or press F to turn and face them. Remember that you cannot escape throws, counter attack, or block while facing away from your opponent.
Buttons for Combo Attacks must be pressed in a pretty fast and smooth sequence. If you hit the buttons too fast or too slow then the combo will fail. Press the buttons in a steady rhythm.
Your opponent will not take any damage if they block. However, Rave mode causes attacks to do a small amount of damage when blocked.
If you finish your opponent with a special move or combo then you'll see shadow trails and blurring effects in the replay.

Big Arm Type (characters has big arms) - Finish game on level 4 with no continues.
No Gauge Mode (life and Beast meters aren't shown) - Finish game on level 4 with Yugo.
Camera Mode (change viewing angle in "Options" menu) - Finish game on level 4 with Alice.
No Lighting Mode (no light effects when charging-up) - Finish game on level 4 with Long.
No Guard Mode (no blocking) - Finish game on level 4 with Gado.
No Wall Mode (no walls around ring from start of match) - Finish game on level 4 with Mitsuko.
Wall Display Off (walls are invisible) - Finish game on level 4 with Fox.

---Unlimited Replays:
Press triangle during the replay and you will see the replay again from a different camera angle. This can be repeated as many times as you wish. A second player can interrupt this by pressing Start.
