QCF = (quarter circle forward) rotate joystick from D to F in one smooth, continuous motion
QCB = (quarter circle back) rotate joystick from D to B in one smooth, continuous motion
[] = brackets indicate that the button should be held while performing the rest of the move command, be sure to release the button after performing the joystick motion for the move to work properly

stuns opponent = opponent will be unable to block for about 2 seconds if the move hits
	---Fatality Distances Key:
very close = get as close to your opponent as possible
just inside sweep range = be close enough to your opponent so that you would be able to foot sweep them with your foot passing between their feet, or you can estimate to be about two full steps away
sweep range = the maximum range of your foot sweep, or about three steps away
just outside sweep range = be just outside the maximum range of your foot sweep, or about four steps away.

	---Other Things You Need to Know:
Most special moves and basic attacks will cause your opponent to take a little bit of damage if they block.

Hold BLK to block a high attack or D+BLK to block a low attack.  Special moves that hit low can be blocked while standing but basic attacks that hit low must be blocked while crouching.  All attacks that hit high can be blocked while crouching.

	---Fatality Notes:

	---When to Perform Finishing Moves:
Fatalities must be performed after "Finish Him/Her" appears on the screen.  You will have about 5 seconds to activate the Fatality.

	---Positioning and the Block Button:
In order to prevent your character form walking forward or back when performing the command for a Fatality, you may hold BLK while inputting the command.  However, you must release BLK before hitting the final button in the Fatality for it to work unless the Fatality command requires U to be pressed in which case you may hold BLK through the entire command including the final button.

	---Pit Fatality:
To knock you opponent into the spikes below the Pit simply perform an uppercut when "Finish Him/Her" appears while fighting on the Pit stage. This is the same for all characters.
	(Note: you will not get a Fatality bonus for this.)

	---Tricks and Codes:

	---Fight as Goro (Game Boy version only):
Beat the game with any character.  Hold up/left+A+Select when the phrase "The End" appears.  Continue to hold the buttons until the initials entry screen appears.  Release the buttons and enter your initials, then press A.  Press Start at the high score screen.  The message "Goro Lives" will confirm correct code entry.

	---Chrome Goro (SNES version only):
Perform Raiden's Fatality at the end of the third Endurance match to fight a chrome-looking Goro.

	---Reptile (hidden character):
To fight Reptile be on the Pit stage and get a double flawless victory bonus, don't use block any time during the match including during the Fatality, and perform your character's Fatality (you cannot uppercut them into the spikes for this to work).
On the Genesis something must fly in front of the moon on the Pit for you to be eligible to perform this trick.   All characters can perform a Fatality without using block except Sonya, but the block at the end of her Fatality does not count. Scorpion's Fatality can be done by rapidly tapping up. Liu Kang's Fatality can be done by quickly
rotating the joystick without touching block.
	(Note: performing this trick while fighting an Endurance match on the Pit will cause you to fight an Endurance match with two Reptiles. On the Genesis you can make the second Reptile a green Sonya by activating flags 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 as seen in the "Cheat Menu" section below. However, you must have Sonya as the second person in the Endurance match you fight on the Pit. It must also be your second Endurance match. The best way to do this is to set the battle plan to 2 in the "Cheat Menu".)

	---Blood Code (Genesis):
At the code of honor screen quickly tap A, B, A, C, A, B, B. The letters will turn read and you will hear "Get over here!" if done correctly.

	---Blood Code (Game Gear):
At the code of honor screen quickly tap 2, 1, 2, down, up. You will hear a confirming sound and the words "Now entering kombat" will appear if done correctly.

	---Cheat Menu (Sega CD only):
At the Start/Options screen press down, up, left, left, A, right, down on controller 1.

	---Cheat Menu (Genesis only):
At the Start/Options screen press down, up, left, left, A, right, down on controller 1.  The words "Cheat Enabled" will appear.  Select this new option to do the following things:
	* see the characters' bio and win game screens,
	* select after how many matches you will play "Test Your Might",
	* select the first item to break in "Test Your Might",
	* select the first stage to fight on,
	* select a preprogrammed battle plan,
	* select the number of credits from 1 to 6,
	* enable/disable the blood code.

You will also have access to eight flags which do the following things:
	* FLAG 0-one hit kills player 2,
	* FLAG 1-one hit kills player 1,
	* FLAG 2-shadow always flies across the moon on the Pit stage,
