Turn 9 -- Hound and Tails Inn

Evening. Thurmaster. 10th day of Hammer.

After leaving Tauster's residence the party meets up with the other members outside the wizards home and decides to head to the Hound and Tails for the offered meal and to discuss the new offer. The Inn has obviously seen better days but it does appear to be passable for the evening. There are approximately 20 or so villages in the Inn sitting at various table and hanging around the bar trying to get a pinch and a wink from one of the three waitresses. The owner is a surly sort of fellow named Weismar who appears more than eager to take the party's coin. The party takes a seat together and begins to eat a hot meal of some type of potato soup.

"It's evident they don't have a cook of your caliber, Dain, in this establishment," says Zir'zool with a smile for Dain.

"Well thank you very much, my lady," replies Dain, "At least it is hot."

Beleg, Druckner and Ortho have no problem eating the soup, each having now finished their third bowl each.

"Tis not so bad," says Druckner around mouthfulls of the thick soup, "The ale helps to wash it down nicely."

"Ha!" laughs Ortho. "I was jus' thinkin' the soup helped to make this weak ale tolerable!"

After the meal each member of the party settles back in their chairs to relate the encounter with Tauster to the other party members and discuss the offer from him. Dain lights his pipe and begins blowing excellently crafted smoke rings as Beleg begins to tune his lute. Drcukner bides his time juggling a few of the utensils left from the meal as Talimar leads the discussion. Upon hearing the offer from Tauster, everyone agrees to accept the commission and deliver the letter to this Kuiper on his farm.

"I have made an oath to find the young man Andren's fiance and I will not rest till I have fulfilled that oath," Beleg says determinedly.

"Well said, friend Beleg," offers Randor, "And the vile kidnappers brought to justice."

With that decided, the members go their seperate ways to finish out the evening. Kre and Rasmussen spy a dice game going on between five or six fellows in a corner and decide to check that out. Both trying hard to ignore the cold, disapproving stares from Brother Randor. Gnore, Druckner, and Ortho find another table and set about discussing the weakness of the drink among the 'giants' as Dain, Kersath, and Talimar begin discussions on the future plans of the group and the search. Beleg and Brother Randor take a table off from the rest and discuss the various religions of the realm as Beleg quietly strums his lute. Zir'zool simply saunters up to the bar to flirt with some of the patrons.
