The hit arcade racing game is
now released for Nintendo 64. Cruis'n USA for the
Nintendo 64 is almost a perfect copy of the arcade. You
race across the country from San Fransico to Washington
D.C. in one of seven vehicles (including the hidden ones
which are also available) or you can race on the single
tracks. There's also a 2-player split screen option. The
graphics look exactly like the arcade, with the
exeception that the cows have been removed and the trees
are flat.
The play control is
alright, most people will miss the steering wheel.
Steering with the analog stick takes some getting used
to. One drawback to the game is the requirement of a N64
controller pak. You can't save your vehicle upgrades
without it. Overall, the game is pretty fun. If you liked
the arcade game then you'll like the Nintendo 64 Cruis'n
USA.
