WEAPONS

One warp cannon mounted on top of the tank with a 90 degree firing arc to the front of the vehicle. One twin-linked shuriken catapult with 90 degree fire arc to the front of the vehicle. All weapons are fitted with targeters. The twin-linked shuriken catapult may be replaced with a shuriken cannon at an additional cost of +5pts.

WEAPON NOTES:

WARP CANNON: The Warp cannon is a large vehicle mounted version of the D-cannon. The warp cannon uses a 3" blast marker, indirect shots are not possible. To fire, place the blast marker and roll the HIT and MISFIRE dice and consult the table below.

If you roll a hit on the HIT die than ignore the result of the MISFIRE die the blast marker has hit where you placed it. Work out damage accordingly.

If an 'Arrow' and a MISFIRE is rolled something malfunctioned and the shot has gone of target scatter the shot 3d6" in the direction of the 'Arrow'.

If a HIT and a MISFIRE are rolled this indicates that a catastrophic malfunction has occurred. Roll a D6 and consult the malfunction table below:

1-2 The Warp Hunters power cells have over heated and the vehicle explodes. The Warp Hunter is sucked into the warp and destroyed. Place the 3" blast marker over the center of the vehicle any models fully covered are sucked in to the warp also. Roll a D6 for all partially covered models, on a roll of 4, 5 or 6 they get sucked into the warp. 

3-4 The focusing crystal for the weapons systems energy melts. The cannon can not be fired for the rest of the game. 

5-6 The power cells did not charge properly and the shot does not fire. The Warp Cannon will be able to fire again next turn.

1-4 The Engines are damaged. The Warp Hunter can only move at slow speed for the rest of the game. 

5-6 The grav motors have been destroyed, sending the Warp Hunter crashing to the ground (see Crashing below).

 
Hull Damage Table 

1 The pilot is killed. If the gunner is still alive he will take over control of the Warp Hunter. He will no longer be able to fire the Warp Cannon, but may fire the shuriken catapults. 

2-3 A large explosion rips through the crew compartment. Roll a D6 for each crew member on a 4, 5, or 6 they are hit and killed. 

4 The Warp Hunters Engines explode, killing the crew. The Warp Hunter is spun around to face a random direction by the force of the explosion and the crashes (see Crashing below). 

5 The Warp Hunter's power cells take a critical hit causing the vehicle to burst into flames, killing all of the crew. The flaming wreck crashes (see crashing below) and then explodes. Anything within 3" of the point where it ends up is caught in the explosion, suffering damage exactly as if hit by a heavy flamer. 

6 The Warp Hunter's focusing crystal explodes tearing a hole into the warp. The Warp Hunter is sucked in to the warp killing the crew. Any models within 3" are sucked in as well.

 
Warp Cannon Damage Table 

1 The Warp Cannon is hit and damaged and may only be fired on a D6 roll of 4 or more. 

2 The Warp Cannon is destroyed and may not be fired for the rest of the game. 

3 The gunner is killed and the Warp Cannon can not be fire for the rest of the game. 

4-6 The Warp Hunter's focusing crystal has been hit and explodes tearing a hole into the warp. The Warp Hunter is sucked in to the warp killing the crew. Any models within 3" are sucked in as well.

CRASHING

If the Warp Hunter is Flying at slow speed when it crashes the it will simply hit the ground. If for any reason the crew has not been killed they may dismount using the normal rules.

If the Warp Hunter is traveling at combat or fast speed then it will crash into the ground and plough forward 3D6" before coming to a halt. Any models in its path will be hit as if it had rammed them. Roll a D6 for each crew member still alive. On a 4, 5 or 6 they are killed in the crash. Surviving models may dismount using the normal rules.

MODELING TIPS:

To model the Warp hunter is easy with the invent of the new "Eldar Fire Prism Grav Tank" box. Simply cut the tip of the prism off and file it smooth. Next fill in the windows on the prism with putty and form into a more round barrel shape. And there you have it a new and improved version of the Warp Hunter Grav Tank
