General Warcraft II Strategies

One good thing that not a lot of people do is play with one hand on the mouse and one on the keyboard. In War2, speed is everything, and the shortcut keys are a lot faster than clicking with the mouse.
If the game is too fast for you, don't be afraid to use "-" to turn the speed down. And if the other guy is turning it down (as long as it is reasonable) don't turn it back up. War2 is a strategy game first, it's not descent or Duke Nuk'em. If you want to see who can type the fastest, play those games. War2 is a strategy game.
If you're losing, don't bitch and moan about it. Especially if you're losing big. You lost. It happens to the best of us. Get over it. And if you whine, not only does everyone think you're a crappy war2 player, they also think you're immature. So show a little dignity.
If you're winning, don't be an ass about it. The other guy feels bad enough already.
The only time you can be an ass is if the loser is being a whiner. Then I rag on them. I tell them to get a clue. I tell them they suck. I say, "Wow, you're really good at whining about losing. Must happen a lot." I don't put up with whining.
Leave fog of war on. This is one of the best parts of the game. No fog of war is dumb.
Disable cheats. Cheats are a weapon for losers. Play the game straight.
Don't brag about how good you are in Kchat. Don't be a jerk about it, even if you are really good. Let it be determined in the game how good you are.
