Brief History:

Bass was created by Dr. Wily to match Mega Man. Dr. Wily even created a robo-dog to match out Rush and become Bass' companion. When Mega Man first crossed Bass' path, Bass convinced Mega Man that he was a good guy and he was trying to stop Wily. Bass then broke into Dr. Light's lab and stole a special adaptor meant for Mega Man and Rush. With the adaptor in Bass' hands, Bass and Treble were able to combine. Even with the adaptor, Bass still wasn't able to defeat Mega Man.
