Copper43 and RonJons Rule!
CalamityS and Snort69 Seize 2nd!

With 29 teams gathered Friday night, it was a battle to the end.... and the final four were the teams of RonJons/Copper43 and Snort69/CalamityS.

As everyone patiently waited for the Consolation winners to finish their game, Ronjons seemed a little apprehensive about our post-tournament interviews: 
"hmm... I've watched this but never been in the line of fire.." 
We have no idea what rumors he's heard :) **VEG** 
Ronjons is 36 and was born in Schenectady NY and still lives there. Note: He offered "bonus points for those who can pronounce his home town ;)" He's single with no children, although we do think he answered this question a little TOO quickly :) umm, must like the single life, huh?  In his spare time, he likes playing with computers and bowling.  He did say that he'd "go skydiving more if it was *affordable*   " (editor's note: We cannot accept any more offers to "pull his ripcord", give him a "ride in the sky" "make his parachute open",  or "push him off the plane", so please stop the emails now!). Ronjons' nickname was very unique and we did admire him for his creativity, so naturally we asked him how he came up with it,  ~~ "I needed a new user name, looked at the t-shirt I was wearing and...." oh well, we asked! LOL 
Copper43 is 52, was born in Tennessee and now lives in Ohio.  He's married; has 3 boys and 1 girl. He's been a cop for 2 years and his Unit Number is 43. (ok, we'll skip the "how'd ya get the nick?" questions :) ) We couldn't figure out his hobbies, since he was SO VAGUE about it.. LOL ~~ "fishing, fishing, fishing, and i like to fish" 
Ronjons has been playing euchre for 5 years and Copper43 has played for 35 years and was a Beta tester for Westwood. This is the first time they've played as partners. When asked how they won the tournament, Ronjons believed it was "the favor of the card gods" and "and a stuck loner button last game ;)" (we've called Maintenance about this), while Copper43 has a much different opinion ~~ "kicked butt".  LOL whatever works, huh? When asked for his advice to other Euchre players, Ronjons had "no words of wisdom for future aspiriants to the throne, no.. :0"....guess he didn't want to give away his secrets!!! :) 

This was Copper43's first Friday Night Pard's Tournament, so we want to give a BIG WELCOME to him and look forward to seeing him here again and again !!  :)

In a close final match between the teams of Kadena2/DeeeDee and MsMai/Ryan00000, the team of Kadena2 and DeeeDee came out as the winners of the Consolation Tournament!
Kadena2 and DeeeDee were also the winners in the 1/30/98 Tournament "the first time DEEDEE and I played we won this tourney---ended up being pards cause no one else wanted us" Well, they were definitely wanted as pards tonight and after convincing them to allow us another interview, these two wonderful ladies were very informative :) 
Kadena2 is "30 something" and DeeeDee is "40 something" 
(sorry, folks, that's as all we could get.....ok, so much for that question...LOL) 
DeeeDee was born in Indiana. She's married and has 4 children  B29 G23 G22 B20. We hope this is the age/sex of her kids and we're not revealing some secret code to her pard.. we'd hate to do that!!!... LOL  When asked what she did in her spare time, when not playing Euchre, we think she summed it up very well ~~ "you mean there's time leftover????" and we certainly know the feeling! LOL  Her nickname is also her middle name, without the extra E we hope :) She also believes in trusting your pard's judgment and opinions completely. We know this by her comment "(and cause Kadena doesnt like my other nick  Gidget) lol".

TRUST US.. TIME TO CHANGE!** 
Kadena2 was born in Ohio and still lives there "and lots of places in between". She is "um, married to a guy with the cutest butt and I have 3 kids--Ashleigh, Shawn and Shannon (13,11,7)"  Further interviews will be required regarding the hubby ...LOL **New policy ~~ Since you didn't provide a pic, Kadena, we need your "cute butt" hubby's pic for this page instead.....*VEG* 
Her nickname is from an "Air Force base in Okinawa Japan- umm, first place my husband and I lived after we got married". 
It's apparent that these 2 are a match! When asked what their favorite TV show is, the vote was unanimous, "Ally McBeal -with JBattle and DeeDee" "me too  me too"    Wow, we didn't know JBattle and DeeDee were TV STARS!! Remember, you heard it here first! 
Kadena2 and DeeeDee are regular Euchre partners as implied in Kadena2's response to our question "what do you do for fun?" ~~ "Euchre with DeeDeee, Euchre with DeeDeee and when I really want to have fun, EUCHRE with DeeDeee" and back to the cute butt subject "(oh ya and sex with my husband OF COURSE)" Never let it be said that she has a one-track mind! LOL 
The secret to their success tonight? "Kadena kissed one of the opponents  and they lost lol", but according to Kadena2 "She kicked ass and I just watched" Yes, giving your pard the credit says a lot about these 2 fine people and we want to congratulate them on their win! One last bit of advice from DeeeDee says it all :) 
"have fun and don't take this GAME too serious"

29 teams gathered Friday night to participate in our first Euchre tournament! (well, first for us...."Open Under New Management" :)
It was definitely a learning process! For example, I learned rather quickly that you can't have a Euchre Tournament if I assign only 1 team to a table!! DUH!!  LOL
On the bright side, the crowd didn't turn vicious on me, as I deserved.... LOL
Yep, it may have been an intense and somewhat confusing 1st night, but all of you were so patient and understanding! You made it fun for all.  We had a blast and want to say thanks to all who attended and hope to cya Friday Night :)
psst.. this is just a rumor, but I hear they're giving away free Loners next week... LOL
