Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues

I have just logged onto this site and read of your experience at Westgate as well as others. Four years ago my wife and I had a similar experience at Westgate. Everything sounded exciting and my wife was sold on the idea so we bought a villa. I had reservations right from the start but decided to go with my wife's wishes as the money we put down for a deposit was left to her by her father on his death. Since we live in Ireland we had to save for two years before we could visit Orlando again, so I e mailed Westgate to bank a week but after several e mails and three months without a reply I phoned. Everything was sorted out over the phone but I was told because we wanted to visit on a date other than the one we had bought we could not get our apartment. That was fair enough, but then we were told that we could not spend our two weeks in Westgate Villas but would have to spend the first week in the Lakes then move down to the villas on the second week. We were also told that the first week would have to be spent in a studio as they had no apartments available, this was very cramped for a family of four with a baby. There were some maintenance problems in the studio including broken lights, alarm clock and kettle. We brought this to the attention of staff and were assured that it would be sorted out. This never happened even though I raised the issue again when they called us over to the main offices and tried to sell us more property.

We are planning to go back to Orlando next year but have no intention of going back to Westgate and feel that we were, to coin a phrase, 'sold a pup'. We are now just looking sell this apartment and I would appreciate it if you could e mail me with any suggestions on how to go about this as Westgate have informed us that they take no part in the re-selling of their apartments.
