Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues

Just a word of support. I too had the unfortunate experience of meeting the fine folks @ westgate. This has been the single biggest mistake I have made in my 52 years of life. I am trying desperately to get rid of my timeshare @ westgate and cut all ties from this irritating, lying group of people. It is not easy to write this letter even. I too experienced all of the same tactics you related in your story. Our 90 min pitch/tour lasted 4 hours minimum. I can not believe to this day that I signed papers with westgate. This is not like me at all. Just a testimonial to the pressure that you feel while being subjected to this process. And they even give you a subtle warning as you are about finished with the process by asking the question " did you feel any pressure while @ this meeting?" The polite thing to answer is "no" of course. This is like our court system, they go in with a pre-conceieved notion of how things will be, and you walk out thinking you might have gotten justice, until you have time to review the reality of things and realize you are just one more victim of the dirty system. I will regret my association with westgate resorts until the day I die. If they really believe all the trash they dish out, they should be happy to recend contracts if requested for people who, like myself, are totally unhappy. Absolutley nothing these people said is true. I could not spend a night @ their resorts and feel good about it, so where does that leave me? Answer is " westgate could'nt care less".
You could stay anywhere you like & have nicer accomodations for much, much less money. I can't tell you how really stupid I feel & I am a well educated person. I would recommend running the other way if ever approched by westgate resorts for any reason. Don't get involved with these unethical people......You will regret it.
