KT can't find any way to sell their unit
Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues
Date of Incident: 10/17/2002
Unfortunately we still own the timeshare at Westgate Lakes. We have had it supposedly on the market for almost a year. If they would have done what we were told they would do then Westgate would have bought back the timeshare when we were interested in selling it. we were told when we purchased if we ever wanted to sell they would be interested in buying it back. When we inquired about such they told us they did not buy back timeshares and suggested a real estate company to resell it. And the couple of times we tried to exchange for another week, well forget it, nothing was ever available. I hope that someday we can sell the timeshare and at least recoup some of our initial investment.
We currently have our timeshare listed with two Internet companies who claimed that within 3 months they could sell our timeshare. Needless to say we are out the $400.00 listing fee for both listings and have not even had a nibble. And I would expect an employee of Westgate to say those things were not true, that person was probably a first round seller, lol. Feel free to add anything of mine to your site.
I have to admit Westgate Lakes is a pretty place, but you are always asked to purchase a second week each time you visit. It's not enough that you already fell for their pitch one time. I can't believe they think you would fall for it again, plus you already have your vacation planned when you get there and they expect you to change your plans so they can give you another sales pitch.
