LG Westgate Claimed 17% was Good Deal
Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues
Date of Incident: 4/29/2003
After coming across your site, I had to post my West Gate experience. Last month I too took the Westgate Tour for discount tickets. Our saleman was arrogant and made a point to tell us that anyone who leaves without purchasing a unit is "an idiot". My husband is a salesman as well so he wasn't able to use many of his tactics and tricks. He got mad at us when we challenged the 17% interest rate and told and told him that if were to consider buying a unit we could pay for it in cash. He then left the table with an attitude and brought his boss over to offer us a cheaper unit. We expressed to him that we were not impulse buyers and we would like to have information to read and think things over. We were told that we could not do that either. We told the 2nd salesman that if we were interested after reading and doing research we could send a check in full for the amount, he (being the manager) told us "No, I want to make m oney off of your interest". After that they proceeded to bring a third person to our table and we had to tell him that we were not interested either. I couldn't believe that they are actually trying to convince people that a 17% interest rate is a GOOD DEAL.
