Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues

Lisa I know how you feel, except we bought. We went for the so called 90 min. tour. We never saw a tour, infact we went in and sat for about 2hours waiting for the tour to begin, then we went into this small room that could only occupy about 15 people sitting very close to each other. The sales lady came in and talked for about 1 1/2 hours on the sales pitch, then downgraded those who could not afford a time share. She immediately let those go and kept those in the room who possibly could afford. We were among those. She talked again for about another hour on the subject that we would get free vacations through (Interval) and we could book just about anytime we wanted to, and that after we paid this big down payment we would have this wonderful time share. If we were not satisfied we could call this sales lady and she would sell it for us because she knew people who would buy. (We never have been able to get in touch with her.) Also, they told us that we could cancel after we bought if we were not happy, but they did not tell us how long we had. Long story short it has been since January 2001 since we purchased this time share and have tried numerous times to cancel, sell, do anything to get out of it. Nothing seems to work. We have never been on any vacations with interval, or taken our time share vacation. We purchased for about $13,000.00 and they say we owe them about $22,000.00. Now they are suing us being unhappy.
Be glad you did not buy.
