Before she was captured by the evil Ganon, who possessed the Triforce of Power, and was taking over the land known as Hyrule, the young Princess Zelda was able to split up the Triforce of Wisdom into eight pieces and spread them throughout the land so that the Ganon would never find them. Zelda's elderly nursemaid, Impa, was able to escape from Ganon. As she fled across the land, Ganon's goons caught her, but a young man named Link fought Ganon's soldiers and defeated them. Impa explained about the Triforce, and Link set off to find the 8 pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and rescue Zelda.The Legend of Zelda: one of the greatest games of all time, and easily the best game on the NES. When it was released in July of 1987, it turned gamers into explorers, with riddles, monsters, puzzles, dungeons, all driven by good graphics and sound for that time.
