Sonic Crackers
This is the game that could have been Sonic Chaotix. I guess S.T.I. wnated to put Knuckles and his friends in it to make more appeal to the game. It is the same engine of Knuckles Chaotix, but only with worse control. You control Sonic and Tails that are connected with power rings. This ROM of the game only has one level with no enemies, 3 music tracks(Level 1, map scene and death music). Apparently, it uses the sonic and tails sprites form Sonic 1 and 2. I think that it was just a test of the engine before the Sonic 3 sprites were used. Even though they were not.
The game is also complete with its set of bugs. For example, whene you get hit by spikes you lose a bunch of rings, but the ring meter never changes (0/100) and you don't die. After 3 minutes you die, but the cool part about this is that you go to a map screen similar to Sonic 3-D Blast. This may have been it in early development too. You can move anywhere on the screen, even in the water!
I guess this is a cool game if you haven't played Knuckles Chaotix or are just a Hardcore Sonic Fan!!! Choice #2 for me!!! It is only available for a genesis emulator with the game ROM. On DOS.
