•A steel cage was shown hanging down from above the ring. The announcer's had no idea why it was there.
•Backstage footage was shown of Stevie Ray confronting his brother, Booker T. Ray criticized his brother for working for WCW. Booker and Ray argued with each other, criticizing both sides they were affiliated with. Disco Inferno interrupted, assuming Harlem Heat was back together, meaning he could get a spot in the black and white NWO. Ray and Booker told Disco to leave, but Disco assumed it was a "brother thing," which caused Booker to choke him.
•Footage was shown of the woman (Torrie Wilson) in her hotel room. She attracted the guy behind the camera into her room, who had a taser. It wasn't Scott Hall, since the woman said, "Oh, you're friend Scott Hall gave you this."
•Disco Inferno Interivew.
-Disco Inferno came out to The Wolfpac theme. The fans erupted when they heard the song play, but the moment Disco Inferno made his way out, they started to boo. Disco came into the ring and said, "Wolfpac in da house!" Disco introduced a legend, as he claimed, Rowdy Scott (Hall). Hall was wearing Roddy Piper's kilt. Hall claimed Disco was offiicially part of The Wolfpac. Hall and Disco discussed Disco's upcoming Super Brawl IX match with Booker T. Disco basically insulted Booker, and said he would win. Hall said he would walk out with the United States Title after taking on Piper at Super Brawl. Hall took the kilt off, and tossed it into the crowd.
Lash LeRoux defeated Chavo Guerrero, Jr.
-During the match, footage was shown of Lex Luger and Elizabeth arriving in their limousine. As Luger was making his way out of the limousine (after Liz), Rey Mysterio, Jr. popped out and slammed the door on Luger's arm and elbow (an excuse for Luger's possible excuse for absence or limited involvement in his and Kevin Nash's Super Brawl match with Mysterio and Konnan). After Lash LeRoux was thrown to the turnbuckle, he somehow got himself in a position where he was hanging from the ropes on the outside of the ring. Chavo started to punch on LeRoux, and was counted out. Chavo pushed the referee out of the way, which brought out Kidman. Chavo and Kidman brawled, with Chavo totally taking Kidman apart, including a Tornado DDT on the outside.
•It was announced that Larry Zbyszko would take Mike Tenay's announcing position on the Saturday Night program, along with Scott Hudson, as Tony Schiavone ran through a brief preview.
•Footage was shown of Scott Steiner arriving in his limousine. He asked a WCW security official if Diamond Dallas Page was in the arena. The security official said DDP wasn't expected, with Steiner claiming that DDP was too scared to show.
•A prerecorded interview with Brian Adams and Horace was shown. They discussed their upcoming Tag Team Title Tournament match with Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko that would take place later in the show.
Chris Jericho (w/Ralphus) defeated Juvuntud Guerrera
-Before the match, Chris Jericho insulted Saturn, criticizing him for wearing a dress. Jericho introduced his fashion model, Ralphus. Ralphus was wearing a light-pink dress, with white support holes, black beetle boots, and pearl earrings. Jericho pointed to Ralphus in the ring, and said, "This is what a real man looks like, Perrty Saturn." As the match went out, Jericho almost made Juvuntud Guerrera kiss Ralphus. Instead, Guerrera attacked Ralphus. The moment Jericho put Guerrera in the Lion Tamer, Guerrera submitted.
•Buff Bagwell Interview.
-Buff Bagwell announced he received his official release to let him return to the wrestling ring, which received a huge pop. Bagwell then introduced Scott Steiner to the ring. Steiner called Diamond Dallas Page white trash, and said he was too scared to show up. He claimed that Kimberly was all over him. He wanted to add a stipulation to his Super Brawl IX Television Title match with DDP, where if he won, he would get Kimberly for 30 days. He said the last time he had a woman for 30 days, which was four years ago, she had been calling him at least three times a day. Steiner said he wasn't leaving until he beat someone. Bagwell gave an insulting introduction to wrestler Bobby Blaze.
Scott Steiner (w/Buff Bagwell) defeated Bobby Blaze by making him submit to the Steiner Recliner
-Scott Stenier won the match in the matter of minutes with his Steiner Recliner (camel clutch). Afterward, Buff Bagwell put up the microphone to Bobby Blazer's mouth and asked him out he felt. Blaze moaned. Bagwell said, "He sounds like Kimberly." Blaze was stretched out of the ring, but Steiner knocked him out of it, and continued an assault.
Konnan and Rey Mysterio, Jr. defeated Hector Garza and Silver King
•Pre-recorded footage was shown of Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit discussing their participation in the Tag Team Title Tournament.
Jerry Flynn defeated Booker T.
-During the match, Disco Inferno made his way down to the ring. He Chartbustered Booker T. on the outside, which Jerry Flynn take the win with a Spinning Wheel Kick.
Ric Flair Interview, Conducted by Gene Okerlund.
-Ric Flair had several stitches around his face, and had dark shades on after being attacked by The Wolfpac-nWo the following Monday on Raw is War. Flair talked about the attack he received from The Wolfpac-nWo on Nitro. Flair said he could kick Hollywood Hogan's ass, and would at Super Brawl IX for the Heavyweight Title. Flair said the famous "to be the man, you got to beat the man" line.
•The unknown woman was shown in her hotel room, asking what the man behind the camera wanted to eat. The person behind the camera gave her a ticket for Super Brawl IX.
•Steel Cage Tag Team Title Tournament Match: Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko defeated Brian Adams and Horace with Benoit's Diving Headbutt.
-The steel cage was for the Tag Team Title match between The Black and White NWO and The Four Horsemen. Brian Adams and Horace worked well on Chris Benoit in the ring. When Dean Malenko was finally tagged in, he took apart Adams and Horace. He went for the Texas Cloverleaf on Adams, but Horace broke the maneuver. Later, Benoit had Horace in the Crippler Crossface, but Adams broke the maneuver. Vince made his way down. As Adams and Horace dominated Malenko and Benoit, the referee was accidentally knocked out. Vince opened the door, and threw in a chair. Benoit was thrown out of the cage, and Vince worked on him, but Benoit came back. Adams and Horace worked on Malenko, using a chair, as Benoit made his way in by climbing the cage. Benoit nailed Adams with an amazing Diving Headbutt from the top of the cage. Malenko then made the pin on Adams, since Benoit was knocked out. Malenko and Benoit would go on to face Barry Windham and Curt Hennig in the finals of the Tag Team Title
Tournament at Super Brawl IX.
