The Magii of the Inner Flame is a guild older than
time. The Guild was started by Vulcan, God of Fire, who assumed the position of
archmage. Telken was the second, and Lexington was the 3rd member to join, and
both would hold the posisition and start the line of Archmages in the guild which
would change its entire structure.
Vulcan resigned due to his problems. Anyways, then
Telken and Lexington took over the Archmage position. After a time, Gandalf rebelled
against Lexington over the leadership position, on the grounds that Lexington
was no longer fulfilling his duties, largely due to his lengthly absences, a debate
that split the members of the MIF. Half sided with Lexington, the other with Gandalf.
Who is this Gandalf you may ask? Some think it was Vulcan himself.
Lexington and Gandalf did finally come to an agreement,
that the leadership of the MIF be bestowed upon torko.
Later that evening, with all the differences appearing
to have been sorted out, the three, Gandalf, Lexington and Torko, met at the sign
and exhibited the greatest display of spells ever seen in Karchan.
Lexington's legacy remains in the creation of the
ranks and specializations, save the ranks of Eternal and First Mage.
Under Torko's reign, the guild grew from a small
guild of 5 to over 50 members, this growth made it necessary for him to create
two new positions, those of the two first mages to assist him. Torko appointed
Lexington and Strawbrain as his first mages, and that was the root of the next
crisis. Strawbrain began to slowly poison Lexingtons thoughts, which resulted
in Lexingtons resignation. Infuriated by what Strawbrain had done, Torko dismissed
strawbrain from his position and reduced him from a wizard to a mage. It was under
Torko's rule that Furchin entered the MIF, He rose quickly in the ranks due to
his perseverence and talent, and Torko replaced Strawbrain with Furchin.
Torko holds to his credit the creation of the rank
of Firstmage.
Torko resigned shortly after, and held an election
in which Furchin was voted in as Archmage by a unaminous vote, the first freely
elected Archmage of the MIF.
Furchin has created, with the help of the members,
a constitution for the members, and a system of apprenticeship. He also has to
his credit the creation of a guild room, in which the MIF house the source of
their power, the blue stone. Furchin also created the rank of Eternal.
