After coming out of the Train Graveyard, you must fight at the sector 7 pillar with AVALANCHE. Aeris takes care of Marlene. With Barrett and Tifa you go up the stairs to the pillar. You find Biggs, Jessie, and Wedge all dying from the fight. You get to the top and you see Rude, the Turk, come down from a Shin-Ra helicopter and set a bomb on the pillar. Then you see Tseng, the leader of the Turks, with Aeris. You have to flee the pillar and escape on a dangling chain. You end up in a playground in between Wall Market and Sector 7. Barrett expresses his anger towards the Shin-Ra and Cloud walks away depressed about Aeris. They get back together and climb a rope from the explosion at Wall Market.
