An old sketch falls out of the journal. Who are these furres? There is a list of name on the back, from left to right it reads: "Gambitt, Merran, Kayliya, Cass, Drake, Pangaea, Eiji, Fishbone."

Upon examining the journal, there appears to be a place where pages have been ripped out to fit a carefully folded cloth. Inside the cloth is...

• a pair of spectacle frames (the glass is missing).
• a faded yellow badge, perhaps an emblem of some kind. marked with a stylized "D".
• a scrap of parchment with a list of names all marked with the symbol of crossed swords.
• a worn sheet of letterhead with a crest labelled "The Alliance" (distinct from the emblem or symbol on the other items). It appears to be a form of public communication, perhaps from some kind of message board; the only legible bits seem to be a longwinded and contentious debate about the nature of good and evil.
• a receipt for lodging at an inn for several people, including charges for large quantities of alcohol and damage to several rooms.
