BACKGROUND:
Leukos are underwater monsters with powerful electrical and ice attacks. They are
generally harmless unless provoked, and they can prove to be a major nuissance
for magic-users because they have a defense mechanism which causes them to
counter magic attacks with powerful attacks of their own. The creatures are large aqua-coloured jellyfish with short, broad tentacles. They have two large, pink eyes. Leukos are wild and have no particular affiliations, except perhaps to the famous under water pirate, Jonathan Jones. Since they are not highly intelligent, they could probably be trained to work for anyone who wanted them to fight.

BATTLE PLAN: Attack Pattern: In battle, Leukos only use the special attacks Bolt, Static E and Solidify. The first two don't cause too much damage (although Static E hits all party members) and the last one causes a very large amount of damage to all party members. It may even kill weaker characters like Princess Toadstool (Peach) with a single hit. Leuko counters magic attacks. Basic Fighting Strategies: You should probably leave Leukos until near the end of the battle, because it will take a very long time to beat them: it will take around three timed hits to finish one off. Most magic attacks are weak or useless against Leukos. Advanced Strategies: If you didn't already get the hint from the last two sections, don't use magic on these guys! They will respond to every magic attack with a counter attack using their deadly Solidify move. If you stick to regular attacks they will only use Bolt and Static E. It is a good idea to have Toadstool in your party to give out Group Hugs when facing two Leukos and two Starslaps. Since these monsters don't use regular attacks, there is no needto block them.
