So who's Cailida Starr? Where did she come from? Well, Cailida is one of the main characters in the novel i'm currently working on entitled "The Rain of Mists Saga". She's an elven mage who turned renegade because she was blessed with an unusual form of magic. Elemental magic. Cail's a part of me, in a way. She's everything I would be "IF...".
Cailida's character really developed when I further created and "used" her in my roleplaying in a DragonLance chatroom. She was a very likeable character, very enigmatic, but a compassionate, beautiful woman all the same. Cailida took a liking to a dark elf named Ericanthusise (Who was, in reality, a shadow dragon in disguise; a secret only known and kept by Cail) and adventured many times with him before he left the lands to get to know himself better. Cail and Eric's relationship continued secretly, but they never expressed their true feelings for eachother until the day he left. The elven sorceress married Garret Lionheart, an irda mage, and while ensnared in a love triangle bore a half-elven, half-irda child they named Renthas. Renthas was brainwashed by his tutor, in reality a dark black-mage, into almost killing his mother and sending his father away driven by satanic nightmares of killing his family. The dark mage's plan almost suceeded; Cail barely escaped a brutal murder, but Garret's fear for hurting his family drove him away to far reaches. Renthas soon disappeared soon after, and Cailida, driven grief-stricken by loss of husband and her son, grew meloncholy and shaded, eventually leaving the lands she most lovingly used to call home.

BREANNETHALASA

Breannethalasa is my "Evil-Side" if you will. She's everything Cail's not: Rude, self-centered, bitchy, and egotistical. She's an elven drow, a black robe (Who can't seem to control her magic any more than she can her mouth) and has this nasty habit of biting people's ankles when her magic fails her. (You'd picture her standing on a street corner smoking a cigarrete dressed like a slut, listening to SwitchBlade Symphony on head-phones and yelling obscenities at the cars passing by). Cail was nice enough to take her in (So she makes Brea up-keep parts of the site...but does she even update? NOOO....) Brea's gorgeous (If you like the morticia adams look), but don't be fooled- she'd stab a lover in the back (Literally) if he didn't abide by her wishes. So why does Cail keep the little heathen around? Amusement most likely...if you run across her somewhere on this sight, just be wary.

SAGE

Ahh, Sage the Dragon Mage. Another character originally from my novel who just popped up on this sight out of sheer boredom. Cail was sent to find the dragon in a dream, for he was her transportation to the secret magical isle in the story. Cail and Sage fight like cats and dogs (Or an old married couple!) but despite bad remarks about eachother, they both need each other and love the company. Sage is languid and never takes anything seriously. He's an older dragon, with sage colored scales (But he'll inform you he was named for his wiseness) and probably wouldn't hurt as much as a fly unless he was provoked. You see, Sage is vegetarian (odd for a dragon, yes we know) but he wouldn't tell anyone that. It's embarresing, of course...and totally ruins the demeanor of what one calls "DRAGON"! Sage guards the Crystal Spire, but he usually lets anyone in without checking first (Brea's fault..she's suppose to keep him in line; Cail's too busy with everything else!!) and if you'll stop and chat with him he'll talk your ear off about the past times.

If you'd really like to know the real me, there is a place...in the deepest, darkest reaches of the dungeons, where Breannethalasa lurks, that can be revealed to you.
