Its a sign of respect for this classic that its errors, discovered only through half a century of intensive scrutiny, are cited with almost the sense of awe that one might point out a flaw in divine scripture....and still, with all those errors, the book remains worthy of training any student of the game. (Besides, would that more of us were of high enough caliber of play to have a game sophisticated enough to really be in any danger of being misled by any of the errors!) --Macheide |
