A brief history of super soakers

Super soakers came out Ten years ago. Back then, they were incredible, compared to the squirt guns they had. They were the first water guns to use air pressure, and they worked by pumping air pressure into the main tank. The only problem with that method is it takes lots of pumps, and the less water left in the main tank, the more pumps it takes.

Then, a revolution came along. The classic 100 had a seperate pressure tank which meant reduced pumps and you always pumped the same amount no matter how full the main tank was. Plus, you could fill while the gun is pressurized.

Then, the XPs came out, and were very good by their standards. They shot at least twice as much water as the classics, held more and were alot harder to break. they were still easy to break, though.

the XXPs then came out. both of them had two nozzles. they could shoot twice as much as the XPs.

A major revolution then occured! CPS technology was born! The awesome CPS 2000 came out, and it used an elastic bag for pressure instead of air. This meant that all the shots had the same power from the first shot to last, unlike the air pressure guns that shot closer and closer, until they ran out of pressure. They also shot Large quantities of water, the CPS 2000 claimed to shoot 10x more water than an XP.

The super chargers came out, and unfortunately most of them were duds. The 400 uses old style air pressure like an xp, and the 500 and 600 use cps tech, but with an XP nozzle. The good thing about this line is that all the guns could be recharged from the hose, and all but the Power Pak could be pumped. The power pak is an awesome soaker. it has 3x and 10x nozzles, plus a very wide stream called sweep stream, and a saturator. The Saturator gets people soaked, and has little holes in it. Unfortunately, the saturator sprays the 20x it creats (I measured it) in a 2" wide area, so you probably won't hit your enemy with the entire spray. What's so good about it is that it has almost an entire GALLON charged up in it (114 oz vs. the 128 oz. of a gallon), so it can shoot for a full minute on 3x. this supersoaker has the third or fourth largest tank (depending if you think XP 300 and CS 300 are the same)
