For all purposes ...... 1 zealot = 2 marines =
4 zerglings.
Terran hints for newbies
- Marines are the only first unit that can attack
air.
- Marines in bunkers are powerful defense and can
slow down attacks against you.
- Firebats are only good in Bunkers against close
ranged attackers.
- Seige Tanks are destructive against land but
air units destroy them so have them backed up by goliaths or marines.
- The most important upgrade inb the game is seige
mode, seige tanks do unbelievable dameg while in it.
- SCV's are the fastest life regeneration in the
game not counting protoss shield batteries.
- EMP shockwave from Science vessiles removes all
the psi shields from protoss units.
Zerg hints for newbies
- Zerglings are the first attack unit any race
can get. If you are going to rush get them and go quick.
- Overlords for Zerg are good scouts against protoss,
but marines kill them so don't scout terrans.
- If you are playing Zerg use your overlords to
transport drones to island expansions, they are harder to find and more
easily defended.
- Mutalisks are the earliest air unit, but if you
rush to get them on a land map you will get attacked and probably lose.
- On island maps either send over hydralisks in
overlords or rush to mutalisks because Zerg are the fastest race to air
units
- Defilers can comsume any biological unit so they
are extremely effective against Zerg
- If One of your units is hurt let it sit around
for a while and regenerate up to full life
Protoss hints for
newbies
- Zealots are the strongest first attack unit in
the game use them. If you find your opponent early make three gateways
and pump out zealots.
- Gas is not a problem you can build zealots pylons
cannons and probes without gas. If you are good enough you won't need to
get farther then that.
- Upgraded Dragoons are as good as if not better
than cannons except they aren't detectors.
- Shield batteries are one of the best buildings
protoss have use them a lot.
- Observers are cloaked detectors, if you have
time and money cover the map with them.
- Reavers when upgraded are devastating attackers.
- If you have two templars sitting around not doing
anything, use them for psi storm the merge them into an Archon.
- Probes aren't buisy while making buildings, they
just open warpgates and then they can go harvest minerals again.
- Scouting with Halucinations is a good idea because
you don't lose any real units
