-DasBooten as he spots another attempted expansion at the same site he's attacked 4 times already-- his opponett never knew there was an observer overhead the entire time =)

In Comparison:

  • Less common that zerg detectors (overlords)- but much more effective.
  • Much more efficient and covert than Science Vessels.
  • Effective Uses:

  • Extra defensive buffer around your town.  Know what's going to attack you and where. A requirement if fending off nuke-sending ghosts.
  • Scout enemy town. Around his town is great- but if you can sneak some in it's even better!
  • ...But why not combine those two and put them all over the map?! Observers are the most covert detector in the game. Very rarely will they be taken out.
  • Cheap, fast building, fairly fast. They'll make a world of difference.
  • Good when used with...

  • Any attack force where you fear cloaked units will be fighting. (Terran and late-game Protoss)
  • These little guys give protoss a huge scouting advantage.
