Off-Hand
Characters attempting to use a weapon (or perform an intricate task, such as writing) with their off-hand (the hand they aren't naturally disposed to use), such as in cases where their main hand is injured beyond use, suffer a penalty to the applicable actions while doing so.

Handedness
All Sindaran characters (with the exception of Sindra) start off as automatically, and fully ambidextrous. Ahazu characters are right-handed with one pair of their arms, and left-handed with the other pair. All other characters (including Sindra) may choose their handedness (right or left), or may, if desired, roll on the following table (giving them a chance of being ambidextrous).

Ambidextrous characters may perform actions using either hand without penalty, but do not gain any other benefits. Handedness has no effect on the use of the Swordsmanship skill.

Multiple Actions (Alternate Rules)
Players do not have to declare how many actions they will be performing during a round. Combat is instinctive, flowing, and creative, changing swiftly from second to second. However. Performing multiple actions does become more difficult due to factors of balance, speed and concentration.
Each action after the first (or after the second in the case of Swordsmanship) suffers a cumulative -5 action penalty.
For example:
In one round, Voulge the Thrall slashes at his opponent (no penalty), then parries a counterstrike (-5 penalty), and desperate to avoid a sudden attack to his right, attempts to dodge (-10 penalty).

This rule allows characters to react to attacks, even if they did not state they were taking more than one action to start with.
