Developmental Notes
Here are a few notes on the development and content of my KiSS sets. This page will grow as my sets become more numerous. That's the theory, anyway.
T-Shirt Girl (with Delirium of the Endless and Nuala)
The whole thing is based around one of Emby Quinn's dolls (freedoll.gif), and as such lacks a bit of originality. I got caught on the idea of t-shirts and began producing them wholesale for this set, but gave up pretty quickly. I intended to get this set out of the way, as it is really only an exploratory foray into KiSSing.
Delirium is not an original character, and neither is Nuala - they are both characters from a series of comics published by DC Comics and written by Neil Gaiman, called 'The Sandman'. I LOVED the series and I have developed a deep infatuation for the character Delirium, due to her depth and quirkiness. I intended to do a KiSS set of her as soon as I saw her; she is one of my favourite characters in the Sandman series. She is especially well-suited to KiSS due to the fact that every time she disappears and then reappears she's changed clothes, hair and sometimes even race and body-shape. I unfortunately have limited resources for her, but easily enough to do a separate KiSS set, which I intend on doing.
I'll be totally honest: I am not terribly happy with Nuala. I only gave her two sets of clothing, and that sucked; she is not an original character and I had very limited resources. I intend to rectify that problem. I liked how her ears came out, but on the whole I thought she could be much better done.
Delirium of the Endless
Let's face it - she's gorgeous. I know she's manifested in a young girl's body in this series, but it's not physically that she's gorgeous. I don't hold with pedophilia. Mentally she's electric; her personality is positively magnetic. She is quite insane, but this only adds to the effect. She's Alice in Wonderland, Pinky, Samwise Gamgee and a host of others rolled into one. As Delirium puts it: 'I think you're very nice. I think twinkle's a nice word - so's viridian. I met a lady once who had an imaginary fish.' And when you consider that she's also one of the most powerful beings in existence - makes you shudder, eh?
On a more technical note, I am not happy yet with how she looks structurally. Her body seems right but I have never been good at faces - eyes in particular give me trouble. In addition I'm trying to develop my own style - while I do hold Emby Quinn in very high regard, I do not want to simply produce badly-cloned versions of her work - I'd much rather be an inept individual than a half-assed clone-artist.
