Ever since he could remember as a young boy, Alex has always dreamt to grow up in the footsteps of his hero, Dragonmaster Dyne. Growing up in the small, isolated village of Burg, Alex visits a memorial built outside of Burg in Dyne's honor everyday, building fantasy adventures he could take his friends on. His three friends have always marveled over Alex's fascination with the late Dragonmaster. His friends are: Ramus, a big-boned boy with dreams to become a successful business man. Nall, a white winged cat-looking creature who is almost never away from the side of Alex. And Luna, an orphan that Alex's parents adopted at an early age that Alex has grown up with. One day while Alex is dreaming at Dyne's monument, Nall interrupts reminding Alex of his duties to Luna, and that he must go find her and practice their song of the Goddess Althena, for the Goddess Festival. As Alex is ready to set to the task of finding Luna, he is confronted by Ramus, who tells Alex of a fantastic adventure oppertunity. He says that the legendary White Dragon Cave is now free from the snow blocking the entrance, and they can go in to try to find a fabled Dragon Diamond worth thousands of silver. Alex soon agrees to go on the adventure with Ramus. After the talk with Ramus, Alex meets Luna at the spring near the village, who is already rehearsing her song, with her excellent voice. After she realizes Alex is there, she scolds Alex for being late. She guesses Alex was at the monument again, and that he was planning more "make-believe adventures with Ramus." Nall opens his mouth and accidentially tells Luna about their plans for the trip to the White Dragon Cave. Luna tries to convince Alex to not go, but in the end, she simply demands that she is taken along to keep the three out of trouble. After useless protest, Alex, Luna, and Nall return home to get supplies and meet Ramus at the entrance to the village. Little does Alex realize that this small adventure will lead him to his most wonderful dreams, and his worst nightmares... This is where you stop reading, and start playing Lunar. So get going!
