"WHAT THE FUCK?!" She screamed as she walked into their bedroom. She watched with tears forming in her eyes as Joey jumped out of the bed and scrambled to pull a pair of boxers on. The hoe in the bed just sat there, while Marleny watched as Joey was about to approach her. She just put her hand over her mouth and walked into their living room. Joey came up from behind her.
"Baby, it's not what you think!" He pleaded to her. He put his hand on her arm. She turned around and smacked his arm off hers. He looked into her eyes which were filled with fury, and tears.
"What the fuck do you want me to think? She's the new cleaning lady and just so happened to trip and fall and land on your dick?" She screamed. The hoe came out from the room, wrapped in Marleny's satin sheets.
"SuperJoe, what's wrong?" She asked twirling a strand of hair around her fingers. She looked with wide innocent eyes at them.
Marleny lunged at her. She yanked the sheets off her naked body and started to beat the shit out of her. She let go of all the frustration she wanted to let out on Joey, on her. Joey came over to her and pried her off the slut. The poor girl lay there with blood all over her face, and scratches and bruises forming on her body. In the heat of the moment, Marleny turned around and decked Joey across the face. He looked surprised and grabbed the side of his face. Marleny then picked up the bleeding naked hoe and opened the door and threw her out. Shutting the door she stormed back into the bedroom grabbed the strip of clothing that must've been her "dress" and threw it out the door too. Joey just stood there the whole time with his hand on his cheek. Marleny looked over at him. He opened his mouth to say something.
"Don't." She said tears starting up again. He took a step towards her. She put her hand up stepping back and he stopped. She turned her head away. "I can't even look at you." She said in a choked voice wrapping her arms around her body.
He walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. Not feeling her jerk away, that encouraged him to wrap his arms around her. She weakly put her hands on his chest to push him away. She just started sobbing. She let herself fall into his arms, seeking confort in any form. Her heart was breaking, and he was the reason. He stroked her hair and kissed her head.
"Please, babe, let me explain." He whispered in her ear. He felt her shaking beneath his arms. She raised her tear streaked face to look at him.
It broke his heart. He cursed himself silently. He wasn't getting what he wanted out of her all the time and it had been building up inside of him. He NEEDED to release, and hated the fact she wasn't always there for him. Marleny just looked at him. He leaned forward to kiss her forehead, but she stopped him.
"Get out." She said quietly. She backed away from him. He slowly pulled his hands away. He looked at her, not moving.
"Get out!" She commanded. He looked into her eyes, and she felt as if he were looking right into her soul. She pointed to their bedroom. He didn't move, so she did it for him. In a fit of rage, she took everything of his out of the closets and drawers and put it all in suitcases, bags, whatever she could find. She took everything and brought it to the living room. He wasn't there. She looked for him and found him dressed in the laundry room, grabbing his superman jersey she always wore. He let it go. He wanted her to keep it.
She cleared her throat. He looked over at her and followed her to the front door. She watched with a lump in her throat as he put bags into his Acura. He was about to get in the car when he claimed to have forgotten something. He ran inside and she followed. She didn't want to watch him drive off. It still felt to unreal to her. Only an hour ago she was so happy and carefree. She looked down at the promise ring he bought her a month earlier. 'I'll love you forever' he told her.
"Forever." She said bitterly. She took it off. She went to the trashcan, but couldn't bear to throw it away, so she put it in a drawer instead. She turned and there he was, about to go out the door when he stopped and knelt down to pet their cat. She walked over to him and opened the door. Just as he was about to put a foot out, he shut it and turned to her.
"Lemme stay." Joey said staring into her eyes. He searched for some hint of love, but found only pain, hurt, and anger. "Marleny, please, I love you." He said touching her cheek, in one last desperate attempt to keep the love of his life with him.
"Joey, I love you isn't enough." She said then opened the door for him. He looked at her for a minute longer, then headed out the door, and she shut it behind him.
