Mortal Kombat: Special Forces Vital Stats
You can play as either Sonya or Jax, each with their own perspective in the unfolding story. For example, playing as Jax will put you in the role of rescuer, trying to find the trapped Sonya. As Sonya, you're a jailbreaker trying to get out of the brig to meet up with Jax. The game takes place in an over-the-shoulder perspective, and each character can run, jump, climb, punch and kick. You'll run through the levels in almost a Tomb Raider-style scheme. Knock a gun out of a bad guy's hand and you can pick it up to use. A crosshair will automatically hone in on the nearest threat; it's just up to you to pull the trigger. The framerate is pretty decent but still needs to be a little tweaked to keep the textures from dropping out. The biggest complaint - it's really only Mortal Kombat in story. The fighting is nothing like the MK fighting games. But Midway is confident that more kids will adore the storyline than miss the familiar action. Wierd, a Mortal Kombat game in the style of Tomb Raider, I don't know...
