Turok: Rage Wars runs off of an improved Turok 2 engine. Where as Turok 2 suffered from framerate problems, the engine has been reworked to provide a smooth, fast picture. Framerate problems are almost non-exsistant.The high-res graphics in Turok: Rage Wars are also along the line of Turok 2, with very little trade-off for the framerate issue.
Turok: Rage Wars will have 36 multiplayer maps catered to fast and furious action. The close-quarterd levels make for this so you don't have to spend all that time looking for your opponent. Rage Wars will also feature awards and rankings so you can get your bragging rights on. With four multiplayer modes, along with the return of the monkey, Rage Wars is looking fantastic. If you can't get some people, there is a single player mode with bots that do have pretty good AI, but this isn't what the game is meant to be. Turok: Rage Wars looks to be one of the big hits this winter, that can partly fill the void left by Perfect Dark. With its deadly arsenal of weapons, smooth framerates, and the high-res graphics, Turok: Rage Wars will be awesome. Turok: Rage Wars is set to be released on November 15th. |
