Battle 88: Attacker From the Darkness!

Seto arrives at Pegasus' Castle, only to find out that he needs
ten Star Chips to enter, which complicates things.

Jounouchi has a nightmare about being defeated by Seto, and wakes
up early in the morning (waking everyone else up in the process).
Mai has left the group (going it alone), and the rest of the crew
begins the second and last day of the Tournament.

Unbeknownst to them, they are being spied upon by two
individuals. Those two are under the "command" of Bandit Keith.
His plan is to get his group of four into the castle, to be sure
and win the prize money. They make the decisions to kidnap
Jounouchi and force him to play a game, since he is thought to be
the weakest. Keith gives Ghost Kotsuzuka a Ghost deck from his
jacket full of expert decks.

Jounouchi stops to urinate, and Keith's group grabs him, taking
him to the Graveyard Field in a cave.

Battle 89: The Unending Duel

Jounouchi is so scared of the Field that he has passed out and is
foaming at the mouth. One of Keith's goons slaps him awake, and
the game starts. Jounouchi starts with an Axe Raider
(6/1700/1150).

Meanwhile, the Yugi and company wonder what is keeping him.

Kotsuzuka is about to play a Medusa, but with some coaching from
Keith, plays a Armored Ghoul (5/1500/??). Jounouchi promptly
slays in (Kotsuzuka's LP: 1800). Zotsuzuka plays a Earth-Eating
Dragon (5/1600/1400) in Defense Mode, and Jounouchi takes care of
that as well. Kotsuzuka plays Murder Circus (5/1650/1400),
Jounouchi plays a Flame Swordsman (6/1800/1600) and destroys it
(K's LP: 1350).

Kotsuzuka's trump card comes up, "Cry of the Living Dead", which
brings puts into play all of his monsters that were destroyed
(but has no effect on non-zombie monsters later destroyed), and
since the Field is a Graveyard Field, the zombie monsters power
is increased

The Zombie Dragon (2080/0) destroy's Jounouchi's Axe Raider (J's
LP: 1620).

Battle 90: Call From The Grave

Jounouchi plays Garuzasu (5/1800/1500), and slays the Murder
Circus Zombie, but "Cry of the Living Dead's" effect brings it
back into play, with an attack increase (1890). Murder Circus
Zombie retaliates, destroying Garuzasu (J's LP: 1530). Jounouchi
tries to play Time Magician, but the Time Roulette fails, and all
of his monsters are destroyed, along with losing Life Points (J's
LP: 630).

Jounouchi plays a Demon Hunter (Defense Mode). Kotsuzuka then
summons "Ghost King, Pumpking" (6/1500/2000) which increases the
attack and defense of all zombie monsters. The Zombie Dragon
destroys the Demon Hunter.

Jounouchi plays an Armor Lizard (Defense Mode), and Kotsuzuka
uses Pumpking's additional effect to increase the power of the
Zombie Dragon (2400), and slay the Armor Lizard. Jounouchi plays
a Grassman (Defense Mode), and it is promptly destroyed.
Jounouchi silently calls out to Yugi, and he is heard. Yugi
changes, and he and the group head toward the cave.

Battle 91: Immortal Death?!

Jounouchi plays a Tiger Axe (Defense Mode), with Kotsuzuka's
monsters looming. Kotsuzuka draws "Seal Defense", Pumpking
increases the power of all of his monsters. Kotsuzuka plays
"Seal Defense", and destroys Jounouchi's Tiger Axe.

Meanwhile, Yugi and company search the network of caves for
Jounouchi.

Jounouchi draws Red Eyes Black Dragon, (7/2400/2000) (Keith is
shocked), and destroys Pumpking (K's LP: 900). Kotsuzuka
retaliates, destroying Red Eyes with the Zombie Dragon (2880)
(J's LP: 150).

Jounouchi then draws "Shield in the Left Hand, Sword in the Right
Hand". He plays Melee Warrior Ultimater (4/700/1000), plays his
trump card, reversing the attack and defense scores of all
monsters in play, bringing all of the zombie monsters' attack to
0. Ultimater then destroys the Zombie Dragon, and with it, wins
the Duel. Yugi and company arrive just in time to see a thumbs
up from him.

Battle 92: Attack of the Maze!

Keith's group retreats, sealing Yugi's group in the cave. Keith
proceeds in beating up Kotsuzuka for losing. He takes the Star
Chips from the other two goons, and beats them up as well. Keith
now has a total of ten Star Chips.

Yugi's group searches the cave, only to find a room at the end of
a maze. The Maze Brother's appear, and challenge Yugi and
Jounouchi to a tag duel. If they win, they will be given enough
Star Chips to enter Pegasus' Castle. If they lose, it's all
over. In a tag duel, if either team member's LP reaches 0, that
team loses.

They sit at the table, and Kyuu plays Labyrinth Wall (0/3000). A
maze of walls appears on the table.

Battle 93: Fight to the Death! The Maze Trap!

The brother's explain that monsters that are played must move
through the maze, moving a number of spaces equal to its Level
(but can only move if it's in Attack Mode). The goal of the
battle in winning is to choose which of the two small doors in
front of the Brothers. One has a key to exit the room. One of
the Brother's always tells the truth, the other always lies.

Yugi plays Ruiz (4/1200/1500), and moves. Mei plays Shadow Ghoul
(4/1600/1300), and plays Fusion with it and the Labyrinth Wall to
create a Wall Shadow, which speeds across the Field to Ruiz. The
Wall Shadow (Attack 1600) slays Ruiz. (Y's LP: 1600). The Wall
Shadow then disappears.

Jounouchi place a card, then plays Axe Raider (6/1700/1500).
Kyuu places a Trap card, and plays "Maze Fighting Vehicle"
(7/2400/2400). Yugi draws an Elven Swordsman (6/1400/1200), and
with a glance to Jounouchi, plays it.

Mei's turn come up, and the Wall Shadow goes for the Elven
Swordsman. Just as it's about to attack, Jounouchi activates his
placed card, "Chained Boomerang", halting the Wall Shadow. With
the bonus from the Boomerang, the Elven Swordsman slays the Wall
Shadow (M's LP: 1700).

Battle 94: Magic of the Maze!

Jounouchi plays Flame Swordsman (6/1800/1600), and moves to the
group of his team's monsters. Kyuu's turn come up, and he moves
his Machine. Yugi plays the Black Magician (6/2500/2100) and
moves to the group of monsters.

Mei plays "Wall Change",changing the walls of the maze so that
the group is split up. Jounouchi moves, and hits the spot that
activates Mei's trap card, Ground Spider (2100/100), which
ignores the opponent's attached cards when attacking. The Ground
Spider destroys the Axe Raider (J's LP: 1600).

Kyuu moves his Machine behind the Ground Spider, in anticipation
of taking out Jounouchi.

Yugi plays "Magic Box of Death", since the Black Magician was on
the other side of the wall opposite of the Ground Spider. The
Ground Spider is destroyed, the Black Magician switches places
with it, and it destroy's Kyuu's Machine (K's LP: 1600)

Battle 95: Dreadful Dungeon

Mei draws "Lightning Demon Sanga", (6/2600/2200) and places it on
the Field (in a box). Kyuu draws "Water Demon Sanga",
(6/2500/2400) and places in on the Field (in a box). Kyuu then
play's Dungeon Worm, which automatically attacks Yugi's Elven
Swordsman (Y's LP: 1200). Then the worm powers up from eating
the Swordsman, then disappears.

Yugi plays Magic Silk Hat, and hides the Black Magician and the
Flame Swordsman. Mei then plays Monster Tamer (5/1800/1600), and
uses it's effect to spot the Black Magician. It instead reveals
the Dungeon Worm, but further increases the Worm's attack (Attack
2580).

Jounouchi reveals his Flame Swordsman from the silk hat, attached
a Salamandora to it (Attack 2500), and destroys the Dungeon Worm.

Kyuu finally draws Wing Demon Hyuuga (6/2400/2200), and they
summon the Gate Guardian.

Battle 96: Fear of Demons!

Since Jounouchi's Flame Swordsman is so close to the Gate
Guardian, the Sangaa portion can attack him (Attack 2600). Jsut
as it's about to be destroyed, Yugi uses "Holy Barrier, Mirror
Force", and redirects it back at Sangaa. Hyuuga responds with
"Storm Barrier", which makes Yugi choose another target -the
Monster Tamer (M's LP: 900).

Jounouchi then attempts to attack Hyuuga, but Suuga uses
"Reflection Water Wall", and cancels the attack. Kyuu attacks
with Suugam, and since it's a Water attack, the Flame Swordsman's
attack is reduced by 300. The Flame Swordsman is destroyed (J's
LP: 1300). The maze is then flooded.

Yugi plays "Demon Summon" (7/2500/1200), but since it's too big,
it can't move. However, it's "Magic Rain Lightning" electrifies
the water, sending the attack toward Suuga. Kyuu tries to use
Reflection again, but since Suuga already attacked, it couldn't
use it. Yugi then plays "Hexagram Curse" on Hyuuga, preventing
it from using it's own damage-cancel move. Suuga is destroyed
(K's LP: 780).

Mei plays "Seal Magic", removing the effect of the Hexagram
Curse.

Jounouchi draws Red Eyes Black Dragon, he glances with Yugi, and
plays it. Yugi then activates his placed card, "Fusion", to fuse
Red Eyes with Demon Summon to form "Black Demon's Dragon" (Attack
3200).
