![]() Putting the Card Terrain TogetherMaterials NeededDepending on the situation you will need different things, however, here is a list and you can figure out what suits your needs.
Type of PaperThe best stock paper to print this terrain on is light card (26 to 30 lb. paper I believe, thin file folder type), but if you're like me and have to use special paper to get high quality results then you need a magazine. Make your own Card PaperTake an old magazine (fashion ones are best, thanks sis) and pull out one of the glossy pages. Get some two coat rubber or contact cement and apply it to one side of the magazine page. Next, apply a coat of contact cement to the paper print out (non-printed side of course). When both coats of contact cement are dry to the touch, place the pieces together and rub lightly to make sure a good bond is achieved. This will make the paper thick enough to be considered light card. AssemblyNow cut apart the pieces roughly, leaving some of the red dotted lines visible. This will allow you to score the card properly. Place a metal ruler between the red dotted lines and using the point of one scissor blade, lightly score between the lines. Cut out any white windows that the buildings have, so the miniatures can see out. Now carefully cut out the pieces and fold them along the scored lines. Put glue on the white tabs and carefully assemble the terrain, there you have it! What are the White Tabs at the Bottom of the Terrain? Some of the terrain is supplied with white tabs a the bottom. This is to make it easy to secure the terrain to a base. Note: Orc Round HutThere is nothing to fold on this model except the white tabs for the roof and the base. Wrap the main building around a rolling pin or a chip can (you know the one) to make it round and glue it that way. Wrap the roof into a cone and glue it using the white pie slice as a guide. Then using the white tabs glue the roof to the building (the tabs should face into the center of the building). Stick the building to a base (I like to cut a hole in the base so that I can put minis inside the building) and flock, there you go!
