Elven Noble Families

Though hundreds of Elven family lines still exist, six Noble Houses survived the Elf/Dwarf War and exist to this day. Many Elves still respect the names below, and often times learned scholars do as well.

Tshinni- House of the Wise

House Tshinni was, during the age of Elves, the most influential house in the Old Kingdom.  It advised most local Lords, sat on ruling bodies, and many times their house claimed the title of High King. It was a family of Mages, Scholars, and Talents. After the Elf/Dwarf war, they realized their greatest folly, letting their pride get in the way of common sense.  From then on, most Tshinni tend to advise the younger races against similar mistakes, and try to help guide new kingdoms toward a brighter future. They often become Martyrs to causes in a self-inflicted penance for the past…

Tylgal- House of War

This house has traditionally had few Mages; most in the line are Men of Arms of one sort or another. Known for producing some of the best Longbowmen of the Elven armies, to this day Kings will pay quite well for a Tylgal Archer…

Tylen- House of Wealth

This house was the power behind the merchants and the craft guilds of old. The richest of the Noble Houses, House Tylen ruled through gold what Tylgal could not through force or Tshinni through counsel. To this day, many Tylens are obsessed with money, and often go to extreme lengths to get it…

Landyll- House of Wonder

This house was the house that tended to fund explorers. New places, people, and ideas were their stock in trade. They collected trinkets, antiques, and lore from all over the world.  Nobles today still look for a Landyll to have an idea of where to find a rare or unique item.

Myldinxer- House of Fate

This house held many of the Psychic Talents and had a stock in fortelling the possible future. Astral Projection, Dreamwalking, and the heightened senses of a Talent were the claim to power of this house. Due to trying to keep the number of Talents high and selective breeding with other Talents, this house is now the smallest, with less than 1000 members left worldwide.

Wyldniess- House of Mystery

House Wyldniess was a family of Thieves and Assassins. Today they still train in these arts, hidden deep within the shadows of Man’s Cities. Many live in and work for the Western Empire. The idea of the "noble elf" is a total joke to these elves, which think the fall of the Old Kingdom was a sign of displeasure from the gods. While a Noble House, this Family is anything but…
