Kevin Siembieda, Erick Wujcik, and the rest of the Palladium staff  have always done a masterful job of expanding the Palladium worlds through hard work and determination.  We've looked to them to supply us with rules, info, inspiration, and a new reality in which we can immerse ourselves in.  However, over the years the Palladium Books Company has expanded and grown to a new level, the staff can no longer write all of the material which we use.  Kevin has turned to freelance writers to supply us with quantity we crave for, yet Kevin goes through and re-writes / edits every manuscript turned in by the freelancers to keep up the quality that Palladium is known for.  Here is the chance to get to know your not-so-known authors, and contact them about some of the things they have written, here is your chance to meet.....

A little about Randi and her RPG group:

I was once a Animal Health Technician, hense my interest in doing a monster book for Palladium. I read a lot of SF. and Fantasy books. I also collect information on fantasy worlds, and maps. Most of my players in my group have been playing for years with me and are very experienced and fun to game with.

It has been my privilage to have known Kevin Siembieda for many years, and have participated in many of the old play testing of the early Palladium Fantasy books. He has given me years of enjoyment and friendship. New or Upcoming Material that Bill has worked / is working on:

I've written a manuscript for the Western Empire PFRPG sourcebook. Editing and production for this are scheduled to begin @ June, with an August release date. I am currently working on a manuscript for another PFRPG sourcebook, The Baalgor Wastelands. This is due to Palladium by nov. 1, but I am going to submit it by the beginning of September so my writing doesn't interfere with my wedding on Sept. 13.

What other games beside Palladium Fantasy does Bill play?

None, really. Over the years I've played a bunch of them, though: AD&D, Top Secret, Top Secret/SI (bet you all forgot about that one!) Champions, VIllains and Vigiliantes, Marvel Super Heroes, Star Frontiers, Traveller, Star Wars, Shadowrun, Vampire: The Gathering, Boot Hill, Dawn Patrol, Crimebusters (this boss 1930s-era crimefighting game that appeared in an old issue of Dragon Magazine), Call of Cthulu, Midnight at the Well of Souls, and James Bond. My introduction to Palladium games was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness (I was a big fan of the comic book at the time). I totally fell in love with the game, and soon began playing other Palladium games, such as Robotech and Palladium Fantasy. Palladium Fantasy really took hold, and I've played that pretty much exclusively for the last 10 years or so.

A little about Bill and his roleplaying group:

Let's see...I am a published science fiction novelist with two books to my credit: "Overmind" and "Prime Mover," both published by Royal Fireworks Press (this teensy weensy publishing house in New York State. I think they've sold about 4 copies each of my books.) When I'm not cranking out material for Palladium Fantasy, I'm working (ever so slowly) on a third science fiction novel which I have not yet named. I also have plans to write a crime-story screenplay. I am a total slave to movies, comic books and cool computer games. I used to practice kendo (Japanese fencing) but I had to give that up because it was eating into my writing time too much.

In real life, I am a research analyst for the American Re-Insurance Company, one of the world's largest financial services organizations. Basically, I'm like Mr. Wizard for the whole company -- somebody asks me a goofy question about the insurance world, and I find an answer for them. It's really fun in a geeky librarian sort of way. >8^)

My current role-playing group is just fantastic. They are Allison Higgins (soon to be Allison Coffin!), Jason Pascale and Tim Warren. I always play along with an NPC. This grup has been playing along once a week for the last year and a half, and it's been a total blast. Before this cre, I've also logged in a lot of playing time with Tome Coffin (my younger brother), Frank Coffin (my youngest brother), James Nugent, and Derrick Eisenhardt. Jason, James and Derrick are all old high school friends.

Other Comments by Bill:

Just that writing for Palladium Fantasy is a great, great joy for me. It's really wonderful to be able to contribute to a fantasy realm that has meant so much to me for so long. Plus, I'm getting paid for it!! (A note to all you would-be writers out there: once you start making money off role-playing, nobody ever makes fun of you for it anymore.) Working with Palladium has been very fun and I hope to continue doing so well into the future.

The Domain of Man (Eastern Territories) Sourcebook

What other games beside Palladium Fantasy does Steve play?

Right now I only play Palladium Fantasy. Games I have played are AD&D, D&D, Star Frontiers, Mage, Vampire, Champions, Rifts, Beyond the Supernatural, Twilight 2000, Merc 2000, Traveller, Marvel Superheroes.......hmm, I think that is it. Of course, Palladium Fantasy is the best of the lot.

A little about Steve:

Well, I'm the sole graphic designer for a small private college in Iowa. In my free time (the little I have) I roleplay once per week, play with my two daughters Jessica and Amber, spend time with my wife, and am an avid reader.

Siege Against Tolkeen in the Rifter.

New Ideas or Scripts David is going to work on:

I've been toying around with a Guardians sourcebook, although it's still unofficial.

What RPG's does David play?

I don't get to play RPGs all that often (don't know many people in my area who share that interest), but I'm familiar with Rifts, Nightbane, HU, Shadowrun, AD&D, Bubblegum Crisis, Men in Black, and Vampire.

A little about David:

I'm a high school student, who enjoys writing, science fiction, and video games. I've been accepted to University of Southern Cal. and Reed College, and may very well wind up going to one of them in '99.

Palladium Pirates (Rifter #2)

New or upcoming material that Shawn is writing:

Nothing set yet but I plan to change that soon.

New ideas or scripts Shawn is going to work on:

I have idea for about everyone of Palladium's game lines. Though at this time most of my creative juices are geared toward Fantasy and Nightbane.  I plan to write a book for one of those systems before the year is out.

What other games beside Palladium Fantasy does Shawn play?

Nightbane and Rifts though I also play games by FASA and West End Games.

A little about Shawn's...

Activties:

Messing around with computers and reading are the other two main hobbies beside gaming and writing.

Profession:

Webpage design and hopeful writer.

Roleplaying group:

Currently inactive

Other comments by Shawn:

I plan to make most of my writing heavy on the background and material GM can make adventures from. I'm defiantly not a guy who wants to fill a book with tons of tech toys and have little background.

Past Freelance material done by William for Palladium:

The Inlustris Faction and the Bard PCC in Rifter #1, the Imp in Rifter #2, and quite a bit on martial arts for Rifter #3 (being published right now).

New Material being written by William with Palladium's permission already acquired:

I'm working on a fiction piece for Rifter #4, although it hasn't officially been accepted yet.

New Ideas or Scripts William is going to work on:

A horror campaign for Rifter #4 set on the world of Palladium, plus another Nightbane faction for Rifter #5, hopefully.

What RPG's does William play?

I've played Rifts, PFRPG (1st and 2nd editions), HU1&2, N&SS/MC, Nightbane, and even Valley of the Pharoahs (huh?). I also have copies of CP2020 and Mage: The Ascension, although I have barely even played them.

A little about William:

I'm a martial arts freak. I've studied Tae Kwon Do, Isshin-Ryu karate, and Aiki Ju Do. I also wrestle and practice with a variety of weapons. I design webpages part time for money as well as write for the Rifter as much as I can. It's my goal to be in every Rifter there is (so far I have been).

I just graduated from high school and will be attending the University of Rochester in Fall of '98, so if you go there, drop me a line!  I'll be studying medieval European and Oriental history and culture (wow, big job market for that... <g>).

Roleplaying group? Hah! I can barely say I have one. I play a game once every mauve moon, although I hope to run a HU/PFRPG crossover campaign this summer.

Oh yeah, I also run the Official Palladium Mailing List and we're always looking for new, mature (koff koff) members, so stop by the homepage and sign up.

Other Comments by William:

I have to say that in my limited experience with RPG companies, Palladium is the best. Maryann Siembieda is a great person and she's done wonders for the mailing list. Thanks Maryann, I (and everyone on the ML) appreciate it!

Got some stuff in the system that will not be included in Rifter 3, but it is being held on to.

New Ideas or Scripts Jason is going to work on:

An expansion of my Arzno campaign in conjunction with a vampire book submission for publication independantly or in the Rifter. That and the other dozen ideas floating around in my head.

What RPG's does Jason play?

Only Rifts (currently PBEM due to no group). Have played Heroes, Ninjas, Turtles, and West End's Star Wars.

A little about Jason:

I don't have a group right now because Ryan (known to PML'ers as Psythe) and JT have moved. I might get to GM some for my brother and Ryan and JT when they visit this summer. I work at Vistawall, an Architectural Engineering fab company in my hometown (though they're nationwide) as an Engineering Intern. I'm going to Texas A&M University next year and joining the Corps of Cadets (fightin' class of 02!) I love writing, playing my trombone and guitar, drawing, rock climbing, canoeing, yadda yadda yadda. My latest passion is fencing.

Other Comments by Jason:

I love Palladium books. Nowhere else can you find such a user-friendly company. I would like to apologize to Ryan/Psythe for not mentioning his name in the Rifter, as one of the items stemmed from his idea. No other sick and twisted mind could have created the Vamp-Killer 2000 chainsaw.
