Shadowfall-

Shadowfall, center of the New Wolfen Empire, Home of the Long Knives Tribe, and their Largest, grandest City. It lies in the shadow of the northern part of the Algor Mountains, and parts of the city do not get direct sunlight till after 11 am. It is a large, bustling city with well over 500,000 regular inhabitants. It gets it water from the river that flows down from the mountains, and has a good iron ore mine. It also has the only other Magic Guildhouse in the Empire.

The guild is in the style of the Western Empire guilds (most are); thus members are referred to by name and color (i.e. Kyldynar the Gray). The colors are Green (wizard), Red (alchemist), White (illusionist), Blue (diabolist), and Gray (summoner). The colors all have reasons, though some are a little vague due to obscurity. Green was wizards’ colors due to saying "fluid and flexible as the rustling grass are spellcaster". Alchemists had traditionally red shop banners. Illusionists are white, as it’s "a color as insubstantial as their magics". Blue is the color of the most common diabolist ink. Summoners took gray because "We are Gray, we balance our souls between the Darkness and the Light. We walk the sword edge so decent people can live in peace. We stand against the Darkness with their own tools. We are Gray."

The population of Shadowfall is about 78% Wolfen, 10 % human, 8% humanoids (orcs, goblins and kobolds), 1% Elf, and 1% other. Kobold quality weapons and Armor are available, as well as River passage, good lodging, and various churches.

The current Emperor is Vrr’Shan the Green, of the Long Knives. He is a wolfen wizard of respectable power (7th level), he is advised by Moren del’Tshinni, and elven scholar and adventurer (4th level scholar, 2nd level longbowman). Both have good senate support.

The city of Shadowfall has many splendors, here is but a few-

Shadow Palace- Home of the Wolfen Emperor and meeting place of the Senate. Made of Black Obsidian by Kobold Craftsmen from the Algor Mt. Collective, it is one of the last buildings to get sunlight in the city (at 11am). Every Patronday at 11 am, the Emperor gives a speech about the state of the Empire.

Market Square- Open from Noon to 6 p.m., this is where the best craftsmen in the area can be found selling their wares.

Calan-

Mid Sized river shipping community. Small militia (12 Soldiers, lvl’s 1 to 3), decent travel accommodations at the Sun’s Lady Inn for only 3 silver a night.

Teldon-

Really Teldon’s Field, but usually called just Teldon, this is a herding community responsible for most of the wool textiles sold in the area. A Dwarven Weaver called Doigan lives here; his Cloth armor is exceptional…

Farride-

Small farming community. Thieves like to hide here…

Wolfen’s Folly-

Place where the last of the Algor Range Huntsmen fell to the frenzy of the Killing Winter. Considered a sign from the Gods, no plants but scrubplants will grow here and every storm a lightning bolt will strike at the exact spot where the last Huntsman died…
