The Answer Page
Combat in general. There are a few abilities and rules that are a little unclear. <As in, when a natural 20 <without bonuses> doesn't beat an unnatural 21 or above.>
House rules seem to dominate things here from the various people who commented on this one, because the only references to the Natural 20 in the PF 2nd. Ed. is in the Main Book pg. 13 (see Natural 20) and pg. 198 (see Call Lightning). Those few short sentences leave much to be desired. We still lack any official word from Palladium but here's an e-mail I recieved explaining the N20 rules from what he saw in an example game played by K. Siembieda.
Unofficial Statement: N20 dominates all.
"From what I gather, anytime you roll a 20 sided dice... (attacking, parry or whatever) The N20 beats anything.. except another n20. That is if someone has (for example) +20 to strike.. and you have a measely +2.. the *only* way to dodge is a N20. As far a initiative goes.. I think it applys there as well.. so if some one rolls (w/ bonuses) a 26 and someone rolls a N20.. The N20 goes first..
"Thats what I've gathered from example games played by Kevin S. in Rifts and other systems.."
Thanks goes out to Mat Allgood for this info.
Although one still has to wonder about the N20 in P.S. battles, entangle, etc.
If I can ever find anything more then that, I'll let you know about it!
Exactly what is all involved in the magic casting process, time it takes to cast, are hand gestures involved, etc.?
In the book, it says that all you need is the appropriate power words and to concentrate and focus on the channelling of PPE. This means there is only a verbal component. It also states that you can cast 2 spells a melee, if they are below 9th level or something like that. I asked the Seimbeidas and they said that this means the low level spells take 7 seconds to cast. The higher level spells (9-10th level) take a full melee (15 secs). 11th to 15th are a minimum of 2 melees with the exception of teleport:lesser. This is all on page 184 of the second edition manual.
Thanks goes out to Wizard himself for the answer,

How long does it take a priest to pray? Would miracles and normal prayers take different amounts of time?
Partial Answer: Official:
Simple Blessings take only one melee (15sec) for each blessing, but must be placed individually on items or persons. 8th level or higher preists can bless two people or two items per level of experience. The rest are unknown at this time.

-Rules to use on praying until official word can be heard. Thanks goes to Randi Cartier.
I have always maintained that a Prayer of Strength took up one round. A Prayer of Intervention takes up 1 minute. You could say it was double time or even more for asking for a higher level spell. The same goes for the evil priest summoning in lesser demons or devils etc. This is just appox. of course.
