About The Impressionist

This painting technique was originally created by Paul Haeberli, a SGI employee, in 1988.  Then, in 1989, Adobe included a very limited implementation of this idea in the first version of PhotoShop.

A patent was issued, in 1993, under U.S. number 5,182,548.

A few months ago, Mr. Haeberli got interested in JAVA and thought this might be a nice thing to try.  Not bad for a first JAVA program!
