Posting: RE: Polymorphin Vs. Shapeshifting

Shapeshifting and Polymorphing are not the same thing, in this I agree.
But a shapeshifter actually alters what it is in a sense. If an ant
shapeshifted into the form of a human, the ant would be able to lift as
much as a human, while if an ant polymorphed into a human, it would
still have the strength and abilities of an ant. The Shapeshifter does
not merely alter it's outward appearance, but its inside as well, many
times giving it a different perspective because of looking at things and
thinking about things the way the being they shapechanged into -- hence
the danger of shapeshifting into anything with a very alien manner of
thinking, the shapeshifter could loose him/her self within the new
pattern of thinking and responding that such a form brings about.
