System Rules
There are several game signals which will be used throughout the typical liquidsun Login, which should be clarified off the top. These may or may not be used in other LARPs, and the names may go by something different as well. However, its our game and we'll do what we want to.
System Calls
- "Freeze"
- Signified by a verbal call.. Something is happening that you should not be aware of. The
"in game" flow of time has been suspended. You should stand still and close
your eyes(don't worry, no one else is going to do nasty things to you).Chant mantras, hum the
theme from Shaft, do whatever it takes to not listen to events going on around you.The referee
may have
instructions for you. Otherwise, wait for the "Begin" call,
and continue as if nothing had happened. Do not react instantly
to any changes that have occurred when the Time Freeze is over.
- "Begin"
- signifies the beginning or restart of the game. You are "in
character".
- "Time"
- signifies the end of the game (as in "final Time Out"), or a break in play for a period too long for a Time Freeze. In the second case, await the referee's instructions, and do not perform (or discuss) any in character actions.
Phys Rep Drugs
liquidsun will provide all phys reps of drugs throughout the course of the Login. These will be in the form of small paper stickers and/or candies. They are never real drugs. Anyone found in posession of or using "recreational"drugs will be asked to leave and the police will be notified.
Alcohol
liquidsun has no major objections to alcohol at an event where appropriate. You may be required to hand it over to the referees before Time In, depending upon the event/event location (see the Event or Site Guide). You are all adults, and are expected to be able to drink in moderation, if you must drink.However there will be players involved in the game who are under the legal drinking age. The liquidsun referee team will not be held responsible for anyone trying to"sneak one" at a liquidsun event. Likewise,anyone found to be under the influence of alcohol to a dangerous extent, as decided by the referees, will asked to leave the premises. This is ultimately a role-playing game, and what good are you if you are stoned dead drunk....(not much)
Smoking
Smokers are asked to fully obey the smoking rules as they are specified by the event location.Weapons
NO FORM OF WEAPON IS ALLOWED AT LIQUIDSUN LARPS. This refers to anything from plastic toy guns to actual starter pistols to anything else that remotely resemble a firearm,knife or other tool of physical harm. The only acceptable phys.rep. for weapons allowed in game are the gun or melee cards which describe the weapon being used. Personas bringing anything else to a Login will be asked to surrender them before gameplay commences. If said player is not ammenable to such an action, they will be ejected from the game. There will be no exceptions!!!!!!
