Weapon of choice:
A 2.5' swordcane. The cane was custom made for Thanatos while his was on vacation in China. The cane is topped with a fashioned stainless steel skull, the sockets illuminate to 1/4 million candle power. The blade is approximatly 2' long and single edged. There is enough room in the bottom of the cane to store documents or vials.

History:
Stuart Majere watched his father killed by terrorists when he was fifteen. The experience scarred him and basically took away his childhood. He became very quiet and secluded, and never talked. He listlessly went through High School, and joined the San Francisco Police Department immediately after graduating. Only then did he start talking to people again. He enjoyed the beat, but it wasn't enough. He joined SWAT and eventually went into Special Operations as a Bomb and Anti-Terrorist agent. He changed his name to Thanatos on a whim. During a mission a near missed explosion damaged his right leg, and he had to walk with a cane. He retired from the Terrorism Department and went to Quantico to train for the FBI. He focused on computer terrorism, and was intrigued by all the sublties of the system. Later Thanatos was transferred to the X-Files devision. He was told to help 'give the department a technological edge'. Agent found less use for his computer skills then for his intrigue with complex systems and human behavior, something that just came naturally to him. The FBI closed the X-Files division and Thanatos returned to the computer anti-espionage work, but it had lost its thrill. When he discovered that the department had transferred into the Agents new corperation, he rejoined on a full time basis. When the corperation closed Thanatos retired to an office job at the Department of Justice. He thought he had had enough. After a few years DOJ announced that the Office of Paranormal Investigations had been officially opened. Thanatos was reluctant to rejoin, fearing the same lose would occur again. He joined OPI as a freelancer while maintaining his job at the DOJ.
Skills:
Thanatos has an obsession with complex systems and thus tries to calculate all possible solutions for a situation. Though he has computer skills, he rarely uses them anymore, finding some of the younger agents seem to be on top of him in the race. He still maintains his knowledge of ballistics and demolitions, since bomb making is a complex process.

Case History:
Lost count. Thanatos has been in a number of cases in all three sections of his career.
