So you want to the SWF huh? Well first you gotta learn our rules. (Don't worry, they're simple)
1. Have Fun. If it ain't fun then there's no reason to do it. And you're the one that determines how much fun you have. Not to be crude, but E-wrestling is a lot like sex. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it.
2. No whining. The last thing we want to hear is someone crying (out of character, not in character) about how they keep losing matches and aren't getting title shots,
how the card writers are against them, etc. Hey if we were really against ya, you wouldn't be here wrestling.
3 The mailing lists is to be used for flashes and SWF announcements only. You send any junk mail through that mailing list, and you're history.
4. No excessive profanity. Notice you don't hear WCW and WWF wrestlers cursing, so neither should you. if you feel the need to, bleep it out just like they would on TV.
5. No excessive violence. This has been an issue lately due to an incident in another league that we do cross promotions with. Keep all attacks on wrestlers well within reason.
No shooting, stabbing, impaling, dismembering, beheading, poisoning, etc. of other wrestlers. Sure this is a fantasy league, but let's try to keep it realistic. The card writers reserve the right to disallow
any attacks that they feel are to violent. the basic rule of thumb for attacks is this. Could this attack be pulled off in "Real" wrestling. Remember "Real" Wrestling is nothing but acting (yes, and there's no Santa Claus either)
so they only have the abilities of special effects available in live theatre to play with. So if the attack is something that could be pulled off in front of a live audience with out the "victim" actually getting hurt in real life, then you've past the first part.
The second part is if they could do it, would they do it? Gunshots could be very easily faked in front of a live audince, but they would never do it becuase it would take away from the credibilty of the sport (what little there is)
So if organizations like WWF and WCW could do it and would do it, then we'll probably allow it. If you have any questions about an attack, feel free to ask one of the writers about it.
6. Flash. Flashing is where a wrestler basically challenges other wrestlers. the flashes vary from the standard talk to the camera saying how good they are and challenging someone to taking place out in the middle of nowhere talking about the meaning of life. We enjoy good creative flashes.
A good flash is worth more than several crappy flashes. And we also ask that you try to flash once a week.
7. No use of other wrestlers in a flash with out their permission. Pretty self explanatory.
8. Don't take anything personally. A mistake a lot of people make is that they have their wrestlers be almost carbon copies of their real selves. And when a wrestler starts to insult their wrestler, they take it personally. Don't. Unless they take it ooc (Out of Character) it's just part of the game.
Now here's a little genereal info about the league. We are a booked/simmed league. What does that mean?
Well basically, we decide the winners based on their flashes. The wrestlers with the higher quality flashes will get the win. And although we stress quality over quantity, you have to have flashed recently. Don't expect a good flash from a couple weeks ago to get you the win. In the event of a match between 2 wrestlers that we feel have done an equal job in flashing, we will let TNM decide the winners.
We are open to singles wrestlers and tag teams. We are desperately seeking tag teams, faces (good guys), and cruiserweights.
