Cars is a little game where you drive a car round a course for five laps and try to win the race.
It is designed to be a multi-player game, so that you can race up to eight friends. It runs as a single
process displaying X displays on each players machine (you have to organise X authorisation yourself for
this). It can be played with just one person (see screen-shots!), but is a bit boring, although you can try
for the saved lap and race records.
cars machine1:0 machine2:0where machine1:0 is a valid X display you can bring windows up on. You can type up to 8 machines (eight players in the game).
Shift - accelerate Ctrl - decelerate Alt key - quick quit game key ;-) Left mouse button - turn left Right mouse button - turn right
I am currently only making the binaries available. This program compiles OK under Solaris, Digital Unix and Linux. .
