Book List

The Bookstore

Alrighty, I'm really happy to be able to have this feature here. I'll be honest, I make a small percentage of whatever people buy off this page, but what's really cool is I can get stuff without having to go to the local hobby shop (which is sometimes far away) and HOPE that it has a particular sourcebook in stock. Then, if its not there I get so depressed I have to just buy something.. and later I get depressed because I bought some junk. Heh, well anyway, no more of that! Get your stuff online.. and if you have any questions about any of the products you can feel free to ask me. They seem to be well priced as well.. Amazon.com uses a secure server for order info (with the option of offline payment too) and they'll ship it the way you want, and trust me folks.. I've worked in shipping, there's a difference. ;)

But first.. a word from our sponsors:

The Books:

Shadowrun: Second Edition - If you want to play Shadowrun, even on the MU*'s around the internet, you REALLY REALLY should have this book. Its got most of everything you'll need to know about Shadowrun. There exists much more source material, but you can survive with just this book if you need to. With respect to magic it truly contains most of the core rules.

The Griomoire: Second Edition - This book is for those of you who want to be more than just a 'regular magician'. While SRII (above) gives all the basics of magic, this book will take you to the next level. It includes enchanting, spell design, magical initiation and much much more. New character types include Druids and Elemental Adepts. If you intend to use magic at all, this book will definitely be worth your time.

Awakenings: New Magic in 2057 - This is the real meat about what it is to BE magically active. Over half of this book is just informational to help you flush out your character and understand just what the heck is going on in the magical world and how others feel about it. For those playing physical adepts, this is THE book to have next to SRII (above). Grimoire II is important for most magical types, but Awakenings is simply essential to physical adepts in terms of rules, powers, and how to roleplay your character. An excellent buy all around, even for those who aren't magically active.

Paranormal Animals of North America - This lists a whole bunch of monsters for Shadowrun. Its a good source, but is currently out of print. You can still get Amazon.com to try to get you a used one.

Virtual Realities 2.0 - This is not a magical sourcebook, but you might be surprised to see how similar jacking into the matrix and slinging spells are. Maybe you are burned out of playing a magi.. this book will fill you in on what you need to know. This book almost eliminates all the matrix rules contained in SRII (above), but both books are suggested. If you are magically active, this book is still a lot of fun. There are plenty of magical resources available on the matrix to those mages and technoshamans who come to know it well. Definitely not required magic text, but if you are into the matrix, computers, or a more structured world then this book is a good buy. You'll get about 175 pages worth too.

Street Samurai Catalog - If you've ever said "I wish my character had more guns" then here you go! This is the book of books for Shadowrun weapons. Its not just guns and ammo; there's armor, vehicles, cyberware and more. While not directly related to magic, any magi would do well to load up on some of these goodies. This one is a good one and a popular favorite.

Rigger2 - I have to mention this book just because its something many characters should look into. If you have a car, it will eventually be shot at.. so this resource might be for you. This book is all about vehicles.. so if that is something you'd like I suggest you check it out.

If you have any questions or if you have a book that you'd like to have posted up email me at daarkonian@yahoo.com.
