Introduction
Deanna is the character you play as and is the leader of the Shining Force. You can give him any name you want, as Deanna is just his name by default. The only kind of weapons he can use are swords. He can use magic, but only has 2 spells. At the beginning of the game you are found by Natasha and Dawn near a cliff knocked unconscious. They bring you to the Cypress castle right when Prince Nick is leading his army out of the castle to battle the Iom army.

Weapons
Deanna can only use the weapons listed below. The Shining Sword is his best weapon and he is the only one who can use it. After being promoted, Deanna can still be equipped with any of the SDMN weapons.

Spells
Deanna's only two spells are
Egress and Bolt. Egress returns members to camp. Bolt lets you strike enemies down with
bolts of lightning. But Deanna will not learn the Bolt spell until he is promoted to HERO.
The PL stands for the "Promoted
Level." This means that after being promoted, Deanna will learn Bolt 1 when he
reaches level 6.
