Here are a few secrets that I know of for
Shining Force II: the Sword of Hajya. I also have one that I just found out from GameSages.

Rename the Shining Force
Here is how to rename all of the Characters:
After naming your character, go to END, hold down START, and then press Button 2. Another character should pop up. Then after naming that character, do the same steps as given above. If you don't, you will start the game only having named a few of the characters and leaving the rest with their original names.
Mime Theater Tickets
The Mime Theater Tickets can be found in battle 5 in the well. To see what these do you have to beat the game. Here is a picture of the location of the tickets.
Higins
Higins can be found in battle 18 when you fight against Solo. When you begin the battle, have someone check the middle-left of the wall directly above the Shining Force. I will have a picture of his location up soon.
Rush can be found in battle 21 when you fight against Barbara. When you begin the battle, have someone check the first center pillar directly above the Shining Force. I will have a picture of his location up soon.
Excelent Mode
This is the only one that I didn't know about until I checked out GameSages. So here is how to get Excelent mode. When the Sega logo appears on the screen press Down repeatedly until you here a tone. Then when you get to the title screen there will be the word "EXCELENT" underneath the title. I know it is misspelled but that is the way it is shown in the game. When you start a new game the girl says "Though there are difficult words try your best to read them." This means that the game will be harder. This code does work because I have tried it. It also works on the ROM. Here is a picture of what the title looks like in excelent mode.
